Of these four not-so-htf LCdH Releases:

HdM Epicure Deluxe

Bolivar Libertador

RA Superiores

HUpmann Royal Robusto

In what order would you rate them to your liking and why? Been very curious as to how others feel about these and would like to hear of both the good and bad experiences...I've had the awesome opportunity to try all but the RA Sup. I also feel I definitely enjoyed these releases over the few LE's and Regionals i have smoked.

1. For the price and flavor profile the Superiores are pretty hard to beat. I love CGs so that makes it even better for me.

2. The HURR is a delicious smoke, but at that price I'll bump it up and go with the Connie A. Interested to see where HURRs will be 5yrs from now.

Haven't had the HdM or the Boli. The Libertador is a little too pricey for me to buy a box and a single hasn't found it's way to me. I enjoy the occasional Sublimes vitola but don't generally seek them out aggressively. The De Luxe looks good and whenever it's wondered into my cart, I always end up grabbing something else for some reason.

I was thinking of posting a very similar question. Already have the superiors now and am awaiting boxes of the royal robustos and epicure de luxes to arrive. Was going to ask for opinions on whether to add partagas salomones or bolivar libertadors to my next buy but now i'll split them over the next two transactions. Not sure if it's the amazing, and I assume photoshopped, pictures or all the glowing reviews but as a noob I find myself drawn to these lcdh releases. Also have boli gold medals from 08 with the lcdh band.

Im a newb to cigars in general. Though having a hdm delux now. Nice, good for someone like me. After really enjoying a h upmann half corona, I think i shpuld have gone the royal robusto. And alas a great 12.12 on then the other day.

I do love both the A's and the HURR and agree the A's are better, but they do have their place for the right mood and right time for me. If I want something a bit heavier I'll reach for the HURR, but if I want smoother I'll reach for the A's. The HdM Epi DeLuxes I tried were great but that's at the bottom of the list for me on this one. I have only heard good things about the RA Sup.

I honestly so far prefer the experiences i've had with the LCdH releases i've tried compared with the LE's or Regionals i've had the chance to smoke.

Epicure de luxe for sure

Probably the Epicure de Luxe biggrin.png

You guys are all on that Epi Deluxe eh? I can only bet that my few experiences of them were not so memorable as I found those that I smoked to be underfilled. And maybe the size relative to the other 3 seems something i'd mailny be interested in smoking when it gets much colder.

This is my ranking preference, there is very little room top to bottom,I like them all
a lot.......
RA Superiores
HUpmann Royal Robusto

HdM Epicure Deluxe

Bolivar Libertador

I have not tried the Bolivar,it is one of those sticks that carries a big price, and I have heard mixed reviews on them.

There have been a few large format "Specials" lately that I feel don't deliver value..........

I love the RA superiores. so much so that I made a 50 cab of them. I absolutely love the size, and they taste like a refined RASS to me. Also for the money they can't be beat. I got five boxes for 97 per, but you should be able to find them under 130 ish. As for the epi I just can't justify a box of petit robustos at that price when the SUPERIORES are only a little bit more. I smoked a box of HURR and they were the worst box of cigars I have ever had. Horrid construction and flavor. If the prez has a special I might grab a box and try again. I just grabbed two boxes of liberators from the prez, and I plan on smoking my first tonight. At 200 a box I'll pass but at 150 I was fine with buying two.

A difficult task, as I find the LCDH release program to be the most consistent of all special release programs as of late.

1-Ramon Allones Superiores (Bang for your buck, cannot be beat.)

2-Bolivar Libertadores (Beautiful format and great aging potential.)

3-H. Upmann Royal Robusto (Although quite rare, there are some occasional inconsistencies.)

4-Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe (Great little cigar but, worst value of the bunch.)

Hope this helps.

For me it's

RA Superiores
HUpmann Royal Robusto

Bolivar Libertador

HdM Epicure Deluxe

Based on my profile preferences and experience with each to date.

I'd also add Boli GM, Connie A and LGC Inmensos as LCDH exclusives I stock and enjoy.

I have enjoyed the HURR a lot. I have stocked up enough to last me for a while and put aside a couple of boxes for aging. I have had about 30 sticks so far and all except for one single stick have smoked beautifully. I'm actually enjoying one right now :).

The Libertador has also been good in my opinion. I have had one box so far and it's been quite good. For me though the HURR has been better overall.

I have yet to try the Connie A, but will probably pick up a box given the great reviews I've been reading.

Haven't had the Bolivar yet, but for me it's HURR and Connie A and then RA Supreiores.

Didn't care for the HdM Epicure Deluxe.

Everything that he said. Exactly. Adding that my Epicure Deluxe experiences have been lackluster. Lots of plugged sticks. I may just be unlucky.

Love the Epicure DeLuxe on a Saturday morning with an Americano

Never understood the point of these. You can get them at any authorized retailer. They're not restricted to LCDH's. ???

Well, I expect that's because even the LCDH cigars find their way to the secondary market.......just as Regionals show up in other regions!
