I'm pretty sure this applies here.

Rule 5 No Discussion of Sources and Prices

There are thousands of online suppliers of cigars around the world. Some good, some average
some thieves. This board does not discuss any. This country has some of the most stringent
defamantion laws in the world and I am liable for any law suits that come from threads
such as "**** sent me fakes" You are intelligent people. Use the PM feature/e-mail me if you have
any questions. Where I come across flagrant sellers of fakes I may post it. However it will be a post
coming from myself based on 100% certainty.

In relation to prices from sources this can always be done through internal PM between members which the forum supports. It will not occur on the Forum or Shoutbox. The only exception is when Regionals or specific country cigars are released. These are priced by distributors and are uniform and general discussion of the price is permitted but not a specific vendor.

Not sure it applies; cigar sources for sure but liquor retailers most likely don't fall in that category...

Do a google search and see if they ship to US. There are places that do. You will pay bigtime for shipping costs though.

I usally find a friend cruising in the Carribean to bring some back. Typically customs doesnt pay much attention to origin of liquor.

there is a place in London that sells online cuban rum, but it's expensive cause of the pound and shipping.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother. There are many much better rums from different countries. Your not missing much

Is Havana 7 a Rum?

Posted

There is a good Dominican rum called Atlantico if I remember correctly was pretty good smooth used to drink it straight.

I know it's purely psychological but I like Cuban rum with Cuban cigars.

There is better, cheaper Cuban rum than Havana Club 7. I go on about the stuff but Ron Caney Añejo Centuria is brilliant for the price. $7.60 a bottle in Cuba and 11-14 euro in Spain.

I donno, Legendario is the greatest thing on earth paired with Upmann factory cigars.

Love Legendario 7.

I still stand by my take that cuba doesn't have the best rum, not even close! Cigars, yes, rum.....no!

Do you mean Legendario Elixir? I find that very sweet.

Has anybody else tried Ron Caney?

I like other rums, Matusalem, Brugal Extra Viejo but I find Zacapa much too sweet for me. I know it's very popular so maybe it's just a matter of taste.

I like Cuban rum with my cigar, they go together. It's a similar reason I don't drink scotch with my Guinness.

For anyone going to Havana in November, ask Hamlet what his favourite rum is.. smile.png

Love Legendario 7.

That is some pretty epic stuff but really sweet.

This isn't an attempt at showing off by any stretch, I buy up when I find it cheap.

Just I know I drink enough of the stuff to know what I like.

I like the back of bottle of Caney, there can't be many rums that advise on the bottle that it should be enjoyed with a cigar. :)

You must have some Cuban in you, to love rum that much. LOL

I picked up some Cuban Edmundo Dante's rum and enjoyed it. I'd like try some more, but honestly I am fine sticking with my El Dorado, Ron Zacapa and Diplomaticos Reserva rums
