finecigar Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I couldn't believe it at first thought it had to be a hoax... So very sad. RIP to one of the funniest comedians. Love his movies. Birdcage, Good will Hunting, What Dreams May Come, and Mrs. Doubtfire are ones I've seen dozens of times. Terrible loss for the world
GraByaGaR Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Dunno why someone would commit suicide when they have the whole world at their feet!..sad stuff R.I.P.

charlesod Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I remember Williams and Jonathan Winters together on the Carson show. They were taking hats out of a chest and ad-libbing characters based on whatever hat they put on. Absolutely brilliant! 1
airtrade Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Watched him from Mork through night at the museum!
Phillys Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Such energy! Loved his stand up, great films, one of my favourite comedians.
leftimatic Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I have no sympathy for people who commit suicide having experienced it first hand...it is one of the worst if not the worst messes to leave behind for others to deal with... I gotta agree. First thing I thought was his poor family. The sh#t they have to deal with now. The guy was pretty funny though.
helix Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 One of my all time favorites. RIP.You will be missed.

chrisgeo Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Not going to lie, this one hit me pretty hard.
MIKA27 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I been flat out with work, I normally surf the net first thing and read up on news. I was at a cafe for a meeting and had a client mention it. Sounds surreal and most unfortunate he has passed away. I loved his movies, a true shame he resorted to suicide and I often wonder how people with such wealth and by that I mean, money, friends, family and movie colleagues around him as well as fans could be depressed... Even so, being human rich or poor does not protect us from ailments, but you think with the resources around him, he could have got some help somewhere, somehow. RIP - He will be missed thats for sure.
