ogus Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 If the PSD4 and MO2 are appreciated then would BBF fit the profile or BRC more so? I most enjoyed the old BCE.
Rye Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I really prefer the BBF and the BPC over the robusto, but they are SO much better after a rest
Guest Robo Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I really prefer the BBF and the BPC over the robusto, but they are SO much better after a rest How long of a rest would you recommend?
Rye Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 How long of a rest would you recommend?BBF's from '06 are stellar now. The fresh ones are good, but after trying the aged ones, hands down difference. I have no in between stock to compare. BPC I can't really age, as I smoke the hell out of them, and the RC's and I have a very hateful relationship. I can't seem to get a good one yet. I've been trying very hard, but I am near giving up completely on them. The ones I've had have all either been wind tunnels, tasted like dirt, been plugged, unravelled, or all of the above. 1
Maplepie Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Young BRC-T The cedary influx really helps to mellow out the original harshnesses. Nowadays, i will never smoke an unaged, untubed Royal Corona BBF's from '06 are stellar now. The fresh ones are good, but after trying the aged ones, hands down difference. Aye^^ The Beli Finos are nice sticks all around. very consistent and honestly, the longer, the better. standard output thing. but they're still pretty damn good fresh too. No minimum age unless you have a spoiled palate!
Lotusguy Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 After the gold medal, the BBF is my least favorite Bolivar. I can't even really explain why, but every time I smoke one, I wish I had lit a BCE or BRC instead. 1
mk05 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Never had a nice fresh Bolivar. '06 BBF and BRC could be considered modern classics.
beamer Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Waxing on about everybody's delicious old stock doesn't really help the fellow, does it? For what it's worth, I thought the 2012 BBF and BRC were perfectly smokable. Better with age? Sure. But fine now. 1
stargazer14 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Been smoking BBF's for many years, I can say my early '13's are amazingly enjoyable now.
Andrew11 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I've smoked many BRC's, all ranging from 6m to a yr of age on them. All smoked great IMO.
fingerburner Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Young or old, I prefer the BBF. For what it's worth.
sw15825 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 BBF is my favorite. I don't care for the RC. I have 2009 BBF s that were ok fresh but are coming along very nice recently. I don't know for recent years but hear alot of good reports. I also love the CJ.
Laxman Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I enjoy more Bolivars. Time and time again I try to love the BBF and had never been able to, But recently smoked a BBF out of an 08 box I forgot I had and it was delightful. Always loved the BRC and my favorite is the BCE. Have some chocolate looking boxes from 07 and 08 that are so tasty it is a shame it was discontinued.
MadMax Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 My BBF 's from '12 are very good! All of my 4 SLB's of '13's ( PSP's & HQ's ) are very weak and need lots of rest!
OkieJoe Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 BBF has a special place in my heart. For me they don't need massive amounts of rest to produce. Start off with a good HQ/PSP box that's around 6 months old and let them rest for 6 more.
SaintLuis Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 After the gold medal, the BBF is my least favorite Bolivar. I can't even really explain why, but every time I smoke one, I wish I had lit a BCE or BRC instead. Same here. I've really been struggling with BBFs. BRCs have been spectacular, even as young as two years
Charltonc Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I love fresh bolivar corona juniors. The best bolivars of the bunch fresh imho. I have been enjoying recent BBF too.
