dowjr1
So I have been smoking cigars for 20 years but only recently entered the world of Habanos. I have realized some brands have their benchmark cigar. If you are going to smoke a Monte, then the Monte #2 is it. Romeo has their classic Churchill. What are the must try cigars of the other brands?
Smallclub
You might read the recent threads about the Monte 2. I'm afraid it's a bit more complicated than you think. ie, the supposed benchmark of a marca is rarely the best offer of this marca all the time…

What are the must try cigars of the other brands? Need to understand your palate better first. What are your go to noncubans. For example if youre hooked on illusione or curivari, i would tell you to dive straight into bolivar royal coronas and partagas p2 or e2. But if youre a davidoff anniversario smoker and still wanted to try bolivar i would tell you to start with corona gigante or skip bolivar and partagas altogether and maybe delve into siglo 6, esplendido, choix supreme first.
