Hoyo Epi #2

Haven't had any of the recent Epi 2s that everyone is being raving about. Only bought some 5'ers here & there with a few years on em', so I need to pull the trigger on a box.

What's the consensus between 2012 & 2013 production? Any preferences, or have they both been consistently smoking well?

Both are great, the 2013 tubos are fantastic!

For me 13 has been better and that is what I would go with. Never tried a epi 2 tubo but will have to visit it.

The recent ones I've had have been EPIC. Both taste and construction.

Unfortunately can't spring for the 25 count box so I'm waiting for the 15's to be available again. Till then I've just been contenting myself with grabbing a few on top of each order.

I am a bit surprised by the excitation about the recent Epic2. I have smoked a few 2013, IMHO they are solid, box worthy, but nothing spectacular… I'm more impressed and excited about the Epicure de Luxe which has more class – although I'm not a fan of the size.

had a 13 last night, was very solid and profile somewhate reminded me a d4, got harsh on the back third

Had a 2012 today. Just wonderful. Coffee, chocolate, some cream and a little pepper on retro hale. Could not fault it.

2012 are solid= keepers. Bought a Cab!
