El Presidente Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Crikey i just realized it is Friday this week We have some smoothies on this forum (not you Ken), so I want to know what the cassanova's of FOH have planned for Valentines Day. Fuzz no doubt has has a new patch for the blow up doll, Shagga has a betting slip in an envelope with the words "we are due for a win", but what do the FOH Gurus have planned
Lotusguy Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Recover from my jet lag - I am landing from Seoul Thursday night Of course I pre-ordered her favorite flowers to be delivered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jay8354 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Better question is how much are you willing to spend? (translation is How much trouble are you in currently + how much you will be when Di reads this thread) On another note, isn't Lisa supposedly on your payroll for this sort of thing.

I'm guessing a lot, and he's desperate if he's asking the forum... which Di has access to...
Maplepie Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 She treats it like a regular Friday! Girl's night for her so I'm pretty happy! Same with my wallet, and therefore: humidor! .

I am in the good books! Sisters are too close to home for this one
PapaDisco Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Well, El Jefe, clearly your V'Day is going to involve shoes of some sort . . . which is o.k., a girl's gotta have her dancin' shoes . . . I fly back from Saigon and Hong Kong late Thursday night. Will bring pearls in tow. Will NOT get roses on that date (did that last week and will do it the following week) 'cause my girl really hates the way us poor guys get soaked on Valentine's Day when it comes to flower prices. Then we're going to the Bohemian Club for dinner and a show and heading up to Tahoe for skiing the next day. She does love to ski . . . Will be bringing some of El Prez's finest to the smoking room at the Club . . . it's a win-win evening!
kwsaw63 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I'll be taking my wife to the highest ranked Singapore restaurant (#5) on Tatler's Asia's Top 50 restaurants list.
CaptainQuintero Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 The gf loves toast (well she has it everyday so she must do) so got her a new toaster
MadMax Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I told the wife I'm going to see Richie Ramone at the Brighton Bar Friday! We'll go out to dinner on Saturday.
Bclass1 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 My girl and I will actually be cooking this year, together...Lamb chops for the main course and a nice bottle of Chianti. I don't do dinner out on V-day at all.. it's alll structuralized BS. Set menus, and just wanna push you out the door. She'll be getting a nice bouquet as well. Quiet evening though.
IcedCanuck Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 My g/f doesn't like flowers nor does she believe in celebrating Valentine's day ..... do I have a keeper or do I have a keeper? We are going to see a Children of Bodom concert in Montreal on the 15th so we have been joking around saying that is our Valentine day celebration.
Colt45 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Flowers, chocolates, bottle of bubbly, frilly silk undies, scented body oils, candle light Might get something for the old lady, too. 2
Puros Y Vino Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Fortunately, my wife thinks VD is ripoff like I do. We'll go for dinner either a day or two before or after the event to avoid the jackup in prices and cheeseballs walking around with $5 roses to each table. I'll cook up something special the day of, maybe pick up a nice Champagne to go with dinner. We don't do expensive gift exchanges. We just try to spend the whole day together, nice and relaxed.
Peacock Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Valentines day is a fake holiday invented by florists, hallmark, and chocolatiers....
UpInSmoak Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 My wife milked me for a Louis purse two weeks back for her bday present. She knew going into it that the outrageous price not only was her bday present but her valentines present as well. I got off easy on that note. She's getting a card this year, and once the kids head to bed, we'll be cracking a nice bottle of wine and will probably end up sitting on the couch watching the Olympics. My type of night!
Newkarian Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Going to a local italian restaurant. The important thing is sans children lol. After dinner to the local cigar bar for a stogie and some good jazz.
Brickhouse Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Ordered flowers to be delivered at her work. Other than that, maybe a nice home cooked dinner and Breaking Bad on Netflix.
bacalao Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Looking forward to a day off it's been a while. Taking the wife to Waco,Tx. For a tour and tasting of Balcones Distillerey.
Marker Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I am in Chicago over the holiday away from the wife. We went out this past weekend because we also hate the overdone Vday prices and hubbub. I buy her flowers every once in a while during the year so she doesn't miss them on Vday. Usually buy her a bunch a few days after when stores realize they need to mark them back down to normal prices.
poisonowns Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Flowers, Mastro's in Scottsdale, then a walk around the town. She also put an online shopping cart together with things she wanted (nothing crazy, cosmetics etc). She ordered me some cigars- not blind though I told her what I wanted and gave her a source.
OkieJoe Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 My unit is having a Black-tie dinner, so I get to skip the planning process....
Sutton Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Heart Shaped Pizza from Boston Pizza. It pretty much has been a staple in our valentines day for the last 10 years. Brutal I know 2
