Ken Gargett Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 i like "polygamy porter" from utah, with the slogan 'why stop at one?' a good runner-up - "Hoptimus Prime". others?
BatFastard Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Great topic. Have really been enjoying a Russian Imperial stout called "Pothole Filler" by a local craft brewery.
Skyfall Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 The LegHumper Moylan's Kilt Lifter Lone Star Beer Doctor Morton's Clown Poison I was listing some of my favs of the top of my head, then I remembered this list, and they are all just gold! # 3 has to be my favorite!!! http://aleheads.com/2013/02/20/the-best-beer-names-revisited/
TheBaron Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I like Hoptimus Prime, but a couple of others: - Fox's Nob (UK) - Panty Peeler (USA I think) There's also a great cider named 'Dickens'. Still makes me giggle...
Ken Gargett Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 and that pretty much covers it! do like 'tart of darkness'.

Jeremy Festa Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I actually quite enjoy Burleigh Brewing Co's "My Wife's Bitter" and Moon Dog Brewing's "Jumping the Shark" Edit: If you can get your hands in a bottle of Jumping the Shark, then I highly recommend it. Couldn't drink it everyday, as it is quite potent, being aged in cognac casks and has Tasmanian black truffles added into the mix!
scottm12 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 here you go ken, sorry its backwards.Polygamy porter… bring some home to the wives!
Magpie Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Bishops Tipple This was a very good beer when I was in the UK, I guess it's a best seller in the Vatican.
Zigatoh Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Tactical Nuclear Penguin - http://www.masterofmalt.com/beer/brewdog-tactical-nuclear-penguin-375cl-beer/
hounser Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Not a particular beer but a brand....Unibroue, I know it's a language thing but every time a have one of their beers I can't help but picture Frau's girlfriend from Austin Powers:
dafrey23 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 We've got a local brewer here called Pipeworks that issued a special release beer related to the move The Big Lebowski. It's called "Hey, Careful Man, There's a Beverage Here" Imperial White Russian Stout. I just got a bottle and I'm really looking forward to it.
dafrey23 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Another beer I like and enjoy the name is Finch's "Facist Pig". God I love the fact that American beer has moved back towards a more local-centric production system. It's like we've gone back 100 years in history and the Budweisers and Millers of the world don't exist anymore and we can be proud of our beers and our local brewers/friends.
Ken Gargett Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 here you go ken, sorry its backwards. Polygamy porter… bring some home to the wives! brilliant.
Munts Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 On a kinda related topic. I like the name of the chilli sauce of the worlds hottest pepper. It is called I Dare You Stupit from the equally amusing PuckerButt Pepper Company.
Pedro2486 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Not a particular beer but a brand....Unibroue, I know it's a language thing but every time a have one of their beers I can't help but picture Frau's girlfriend from Austin Powers: Like a Big Helga Reminds me of my ex..... 1
Dave O))) Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Bishops Tipple This was a very good beer when I was in the UK, I guess it's a best seller in the Vatican. How about "Bishops Finger"? Somewhere on the label it describes the drinking pleasure to be not unlike being up to the third knuckle....
