BonVivant Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 When you realize how many "nothing special" REs were put on the market these recent years, this is really a fashion victim teenager behaviour… When one realizes that non of the REs in 2012-13 were made in Havana Factories, one might wonder if this is the way to go for HSA Even Rs and GRs are made in multiple factories these days Watch out box codes... you are about to get important, if nothing else

Here is the catch: The RA EL had no reference point. The band was a throwback, but the cigar itself stood alone. The person either liked it or didn't. With the RA 898 there is a reference point for the cigar. People clamor for them, pay huge premiums and some say they are the best cigars they have ever smoked. If the distributor and HSA get the cigar wrong it could be a HUGE black eye for the RE program as a whole. All of a sudden buyers won't trust the program and overall RE sales could suffer. So bringing back an icon cigar like the RA 898 is absolutely a double edged sword.

Great thing about things being limited production and in demand, is that the market was pre-set. If given that the production of these wasnt as egregious as PL Robusto Asia, consider these all pre-sold. Furthermore, I dont think anyone stopped buying REs and ELs because one release was bad.

Es wird wohl noch ein paar Wochen dauern, aber es tut sich etwas. Der Versand wurde von Habanos S. A. angekündigt."

BTW, have you tried your neighbors Petite Unicos from last year? Great smoke especially as it brings back great memories for me from having one here. Still widely available in Zurich and Luzern...
