El Presidente
Having come back from a brief trip away....I have my travel bug again What is the one place you would like to get to.....experience....immerse yourself in? I have this knawing need in my head/heart to spend a week or two fly fishing in Los Roquez Venezuela. Me, a fly rod, a few good mates, cold beers, great cigars. It is a holy grail travel spot I have always wanted to visit. One day soon I hope as a prelude to a Havana trip

oliverdst
Nowadays world is "small" so I really don't have "the" place (city/country). But there is one place that I would die for (literally?), the summit of Mount Everest. In real world, some place in scandinavia to see aurora borealis. GernBlansten
There are still many places on my list but Namibia leads the pack right now. The beautiful desolation of that coast, red desert and wildlife..... I'm all in!
bresdogsr
Not a place, but places. I would like to visit all the National Parks in the USA.
SCgarman
Cuba of course. As an American I am forbidden to go there legally. Would love to experience it at least once before I die. Will probably fly there via Toronto one day. Bad part is I will have to leave the wife and daughter back home.

CigarAsh
My wife and I have always wanted to do a long trip to New Zealand and Australia. Truly is our Holy Grail trip. I may just set up shop on the czar deck for a few weeks and send her out to see the sights. Sounds about right for a relaxing trip for me.
TheBaron
Something about sitting on a deck in Bora Bora with a CC has always appealed to me. Otherwise, Dingle in Co. Kerry, Ireland. Wonderful memories. Makes my eyes glassy just thinking about it. "A seafood chowder and pint of Guinness please." Magnificent.

Google it and you'll find companies in the US that have licenses for specific trips. The one we went on last year was a "people to people" licensed trip sponsored by our local Chamber of Commerce. But there were people in our group of 22 from all over the US. No kids, though. I would love to go back some day, but now my Holy Grail trip would be Italy. TM-US
I think the least likely places that I would actually visit are probably Australia and New Zealand, but if I get the chance, I would like to go. I don't want to be on a plane for 20+ hours, though.
khomeinist
Los Roques is a pretty nice spot. Venezuela overall is a fantastic country. Roraima is on the old bucket list. I want to make it to Sri Lanka at some point. Interesting place. Great cuisine. I was invited to the opening of a new hotel in Colombo sri lanka for this coming January. Unfortunately I can't make it. If you do eventually get there, drop me a line as I have some excellent friends living in Colombo.
