Hash Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Ramon Allones is introducing a new regional for the Netherlands called Robusto Corto. It is characterized by full flavor on the spicey side , with rich earth tones and impression of ground coffee. The taste of this Habanos is slightly sweet and creamy like chocolate. As described by Habanos. I guess they will be a joy for RA lovers.
oliverdst Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 They cost HALF of Brazilian Bolivar Regional :-(
Lant63 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 They cost HALF of Brazilian Bolivar Regional :-( That's a good thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oliverdst Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 What I meant is that Brazilian Regional is too expensive.

Blakes Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I just saw these on the web, look interesting, and like you mention the price seems OK. It is a mystery though how some regional's can come in reasonably priced and then some are absurd with no real difference between them.

I agree with this, for instance up until a month or two ago RACF could be had for about 270 USD. I know some people hate them but the couple I have had have been phenomenal definitely box worthy if I can find one. Then on the other hand the UK releases are almost always absurdly priced besides the RA petit belicosos which is still 15 dollars for a small cigar.
milo Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 The 2011 Israel RE, which was the same marca and vitola, was quite a bit more expensive. Does anyone know if they are the same blend?
Rye Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I so wish this was my pic, but I stole it off the Internets just to post here. They look very nice

Habana Mike Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Hey, I'm in Amsterdam in 35 days! Sounds like a trip to Hajenius is in order.
ErikB Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 smoking one now in Amsterdam - already a very good smoke
MattW Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Fantastic news, I'm in Amsterdam at the end of January, might get my hands on a box!
Colt45 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 It is a mystery though how some regional's can come in reasonably priced and then some are absurd with no real difference between them. Unless things have changed, each regional distributor sets the prices of (and foots the bill for) their regional editions.
Hafner32 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Any prices known yet? There are a few LCdHs that have them listed as in stock and cost in around $300 US. I guess that's not a bad price for a box of 25 regionals, but when you look at them being short robusto in size, you are definately paying for the second band. I just grabbed a box of Sir Winnies from our awesome host for close to the same cost with the great deal that is being offered. To me, the choice was a no-brainer!
Dara Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 You can get these in Belgium too....Paises Bajos translates as the Low Countries I think which covers Holland & Belgium. (There's 3 regionals in Belgium....BENELUX which is Belgium, Netherlands & Luxembourg....BELUX just for Belgium & Luxembourg and PAISES BAJOS for Netherlands & Belgium)! Reason the pricing is so cheap is that tobacco duties are sensibly low in these countries!!
frenchkiwi Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 (There's 3 regionals in Belgium....BENELUX which is Belgium, Netherlands & Luxembourg....BELUX just for Belgium & Luxembourg and PAISES BAJOS for Netherlands & Belgium)! the bureaucrats sure know how to make work for themselves
kws2004 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Got some details about it. It comes with a 50 Ring gauge and its 102 mm long/short. The 25 cab goes for 218 €
