bassman Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 While I have a ton of cigars, I'm actually running low on these. The newest year of either I've smoked is 2009. Anyone tried newer production. SLR still full bodied? RyJ still strong? Many thanks!
Puros Y Vino Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I've had a couple of SLR DC's from 2011. Very mild. I've had Cazzies from 2010 & 2011. They've been pretty strong but flavourful.
Zigatoh Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Had one box of '12 cazzies and they're lovely strong leathery buggers, really good
mazolaman Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Another vote for Cazadores...pretty strong, not overly complicated..pretty consistent RYJ..last were from 2011.
Ophidion Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Loving the 11/12 crazies. I haven't had one that didn't blow me away.
olotti Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Loving the 11/12 crazies. I haven't had one that didn't blow me away. Yes. Have a box from early 12' smoked prob 8 so far and they're pure cazzie, some have even had that cherry type richness to them but all have been just real straightforward ryj Cazzie and deliver.
1LegLance Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 While I agree the RyJ Cazador is plenty strong it just doesn't have the complexity and range of the SLR DC. Between the two I think the SLR is a better buy, but then again getting both is usually how I solve these problems.
Ophidion Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Well, the OP said newer than 2009 so by his definition, no, 1999 is not recent production.
mk05 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 microwave your cigar for about 15 seconds on 8 power setting, and it should do the trick. keep the band on to "brown" it.
bassman Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 So I decided on the Cazzies & a box of Partagas Presedentes.
frenchkiwi Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 microwave your cigar for about 15 seconds on 8 power setting, and it should do the trick. keep the band on to "brown" it. interesting. could you try this with two decent cigars from same box, smoke em blind, and report back? While I have a ton of cigars, I'm actually running low on these. The newest year of either I've smoked is 2009. Anyone tried newer production. SLR still full bodied? RyJ still strong? Many thanks! Enjoy your Cazzies and prezzies... keep stumblin across your reviews on cigars-review, handy, keep up the good work!
CanuckSARTech Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 SOOOOO much more enjoyable than the flat, boring and utterly uninspiring PSP2. Nice choice! Not enough people know about them or smoke them! Now that's highly debatable!
