Hello Mates,

I going to upgrade my phone quality and I am not sure what to buy, Android or I-Phone.

I am based in the states and have a good ISP but again I am not sure about the phone.

What are the pros and cons about these phones, any help will be greatly appreciated,

Strider....

That's like asking if being a Protestant or a Catholic is better. You will not get meaningful answers since iOS versus Android is like a question of religion.

Just look at what happened to the last phone thread (i.e. mudslinging).

I was an iPhone user for a couple of years and recently switched to a Samsung S3

Best thing I've ever done

Its easier to take advantage of the media features your phone is capable of with an Android OS.

Transferring files is done via a "drag and drop" method and the phone interfaces with your computer in the same fashion that an external hard drive would.

My Samsung will take a 64gb micro SD card as well as its 16gb internal storage.

Android phones aren't locked to any one computer where iPhones will only interface with a maximum of 5 computers.

My hatred of iTunes was the main reason I switched and I've been very happy. I haven't found an app or function that my iPhone had that my Samsung doesnt.

Very happy with my Iphone for about two years now. Will upgrade to the new 5 or whatever they're going to call it when it comes out this fall.

Sony Xperia Z, Android. It's fantastic. I had an Iphone 4 for about 2 years because the wife had talked me into it.. It was the most miserable phone use of my life.. Its night and day.

I'm not much of a techy but I love my Android Razor max. Mostly cuz I'm on it non stop and battery lasts a couple of days.

Aint this a loaded question. You will get fanboys on both sides saying there's is the best. I had an iPhone for a bunch of years but switched to a S2. I'll be upgrading to the S4 soon as I get it. Iphone is great if you have other idevices and don't mind what apple tells you what you want. Android is great if you want to tinker and get the most out of your phone. Too bad new phones cost $800 or lock you into a 3 year contract pod.gif

Here's another vote for the Android Razr Maxx HD. The battery is by far the best/longest lasting out there. I got mine back in November and had looked at all the usual suspects. Even considered the iPhone, even though I basically loathe Apple on general principle. :) The Razr Maxx HD is simply great. No complaints at all.

Cheers,

Greg

iPhone 5 is a very good and easy to use smartphone. The screen is excellent and it feels solid but light. The s3 and new s4 are plastic bodied and android is much more tweak able but not as user friendly IMHO. I used both and find that iPhone 5 is a better everyday phone.

So duking it out for world supremacy:

Apple: iPhone 5 (5S suppose to be in September)

Samsung: Galaxy 4

Both have their merits. Personally prefer Android versus Apple. Notwithstanding the huge number of apps available it is a toss up between the two.

Nexus 4 is old tech now, Cutting edge is HTC One or the S4. Things move so fast in the phone world. One good thing about the nexus is it gets updates before any other phone.

If you want customization and flexibility go with Galaxy S4. If you are looking for reliable and straightforward experience go with iPhone 5. I'm an iPhone 5 user and I can assure you that it hits a sweet spot with perfect weight and screen size. Also remember that iOS 7 is supposed to be released this summer, bringing a major UI redesign. So it might be interesting to choose iPhone over Android ;)

I am an iPhone/iPad/iPad mini/MacBook pro User. If I strayed I am pretty sure I would burst into flames or something like that.

Apple has secret powers you know.

This is true

As for the OP your best bet is test driving each phone so you can get a feel for it. I personally use an iPhone 5 because it fits my weird hands (short fingers, wide palms) perfectly and it does everything I need it to do.

I have used my brothers galaxy s3 and I think it's a great phone but it just doesn't work with my mutant hands.

Currently an iPhone 4S user but switching to Gal S4 soon. The main reason is my entire family and fiance have all switched to samsung and I've been pressured to hop on the bandwagon lol. They laugh at my small iPhone screen :(

To each his own. Try the S4, iPhone 5... heck, goes nuts and try the Blackberry 10! Whichever one you find suits you best, is the best phone for you.

I have some serious questions to ask myself. Strider
