Peeps im only new to all this(Cigar Forums etc) But, is it me or do you almost feel terrorised with the though of fake cigars? The constant doubt in the back of your mind takes a little of the pleasure of buying new boxes.

This. Get to know your vendor, build a relationship with them, and you should be ok.

I don't look at a single aspect of any box I purchase to confirm authenticity. Haven't done so for years.

This, and as you become more familiar with marcas and vitolas you like, you'll be able to spot a fake. I remember when I first joined FOH, and I had purchased a box of Cohiba Secretos from another vendor (prior to joining) which I thought was fake. Rob was able to immediately tell from photos that the cigars had just been extremely dried out at some point and were most likely dead. But legit nonetheless. You'll be able to spot a fake pretty easily.
