It's times like this I'm proud to be Australian.... We're ok with people bashing us and making fun at our expense. We self deprecate more often than most - and generally find it humorous. The Irish, I believe, for most intents and purposes also have a similar disposition and attitude towards it. Basically water off a ducks back.

Having said that.... That's our prerogative to do so... I don't for one second suggest others should find the practice as palatable as us.

Not sure why I had to come back and edit such an innocuous thread. I am sure I could have gone further but I don't have the time.

One thing however.

This is an international forum. One thing that is obvious to all members is the cultural diversity of the forum. This also relates to the sense of humour of its members.

Generalising; Australians, Poms, Yanks, Canucks, Irish, French, Germans, Cubans etal are different in their sense of humour. Some are far more similar than others.

To micro manage a forum taking into account individual humour peculiarities is not going to happen. Denigration of individual members, their religion, their political beliefs is also not going to happen. Should that occur then PM me or report it as it may come as a surprise to you ......that I can't read every post on FOH

Outside of that, take a global perspective of threads such as this. If you are the 1% that do not think the original post is funny then shake your head and move on to something else. The entire world does not move to the same beat.

Technically, THAT guy is long gone and dead. And that was a different time and era - right or wrong in hindsight, there was calculable justification for what was done.
