Which would you choose/recommend? Cohiba Robustos or Siglo IV Tubo

Id go sig 4. I still haven't had a good coro even ones from a fantastic 08 box didn't do anything for me but I have yet to be disappointed by a sig 4

Had a 10 box of Siglo IV and I should have let them sit. They had good flavor but were harsh. Bought a 12 box of CoRo's and they were delicious rott. Now I need another box of CoRo's.

I choose the Siglo IV's as I have smoked just about everything Cohiba has...my first pick is the Espys and after that the Siglos.

I've got a recent box of CoRo and I've smoked like two out of, although I've had fresh singles of CoRo that were mind blowing. I've never had the pleasure of an aged CoRo and honestly doubt that this box will be around long enough to see that 3 year point, my collection just isn't big enough yet.

I've only had one Sig IV so I can't compare but if people are saying the Tubos are smoking good fresh maybe I will pick up a couple singles in my next order from Rob.

Why Siglo tube? Why not CORO against Siglo IV? I don't get it.

That said, I love both. "08s of each are coming around nicely. Definitely a waste to smoke either too soon. Better to let the Cohibas age and get Hoys EPI # 1 or 2 to smoke now.

Just an update: Since my post, I've ordered a box of each, CoRo and Siglo IV, and let me tell you, they are smoking wonderfully. My challenge now is not to smoke them and to be able to age them.

They are tasting as good if not better than my Siglo III 08s.

CoRo aged is outstanding... Recent CoRo's have been great ROTT however I am judging hand picked. The fresh Siglo IV I have tried prompted me to buy a box. Either way you won't go wrong. Buy a 5 pack sampler of both and decide for yourself!

Glad you are enjoying your purchases. What I suggest you keep in mind is that you are not comparing apples to apples. The Siglo line was introduced as a replacement to the Davidoff line After Zino split the sheets with Cubatobaco in 91 (I think). The Siglo line tends to mimic the lighter flavor and balance of the Davidoffs where the Linea lines tends to have more traditional flavors that are stronger.

I agree with many here on the coro from 2011 & 2012, both were good ROTT but might be really really good over the next few years. Have not purchased a 2013 box yet and if that is what you end up getting you will probably be pleased especially if you chose a bto code.

I like the Siglo VIs and CoRos.

Have to admit that the Siglo VI, IMHO, were better in Boxes than the Tubos.

I love the CoRos since I got them for free, so that takes the poll.

I voted robustos but it's pretty close. I tend to grab the robustos over Siglo because the boxes I have are brilliant.

I have had quite a few Siglo 4's that I enjoyed, but WAY more CoRo's that have just been fantastic. Young and aged, IMO the Robusto is a better flavor for me. YMMV.

IF you're gonna smoke it straight away, the Sig IV. If you do manage to buy a single from a box which you know (for sure) has age on it, then the CoRo.

I am now smoking the siglo IV.About 3years in my humi.The cigar is very smooth.No power.Tast is ok but i prefere more body.So i choose the robusto.
