Ken Gargett Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 i probably have to be corrected on this but my understanding is that yellowtail amberjack is a name that covers several "kingfish". a 'californian kingfish', a 'yellowtail kingfish' and a few others. i think that the ones around kiwiland are some of the largest. and that certainly the largest i've seen.
