LGC Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Just thought I'd start a thread for meals being cooked up... in addition to steaks. I don't eat prime ribeye every day of the week Potato fritatta with bacon and onions
Tino Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Good idea for a thread, and that fritatta looks tasty. Recently cooked the English classic, Toad in the hole

dangolf18 Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Nice rare prime rib with all the fix en's and a great bottle of wine. Signorello is AWESOME! I tried the '09 recently at a private tasting. Great stuff.
LLC Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Signorello is AWESOME! I tried the '09 recently at a private tasting. Great stuff. This bottle of '05 was easily 95 or 96 points IMO. Still have five bottles so I'll see how it continues to evolve over the coming years.
dangolf18 Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Boeuf Bourgignon time -prime chuck stew, 1-2 bottles of pinot noir, carrots, mushrooms, bacon (lardon), onions, bouquet garni, salt/pepper. flour(for thickening). Lived in Burgundy for 6 months so this stuff is like comfort food to me. It's great when you make it from scratch. So freakin' good. Gas stoves rock!!! 1
LGC Posted February 28, 2013 Author Posted February 28, 2013 Wedge salad Shrimp Po' Boy Vanilla pound cake with pineapple and caramel sauce
AndrewNR Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I had no idea some of you boys were so adventurous or skilled in the kitchen.. I'm very impressed.. Don't mean to sound like a pratt, But I'm a chef and I came from a very basic cooking home background.. So to see people without a cooking background or an obvious ethnic influence cooking gnarly stuff is .. uplifting? Good vibrations.. 1
LLC Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Awesome pork chop tonight. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
Hypersomniac Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I need to start taking some pictures. I have been on a cooking spree lately (well, at least I've been cooking a lot more than I used to). Tonight - vegetable pulao, murgh makhani, and naan bread. A few days ago - homemade pizza (made the dough and the sauce) - margherita, prosciutto and arugala, hot capocollo and basil. St. Patrick's Day - Guinness beef stew, Irish soda bread, and Irish Car Bomb cupcakes. Day the Pope was elected - Spaghetti was Sicilian style meatballs, Argentinian wine (mixing it up as he is from Argentina, and now Bishop of Rome).
LGC Posted April 7, 2013 Author Posted April 7, 2013 Cooked a nice meal for guests last night, but too lazy to take pics... Prepared some nice mushrooms stuffed with caramelized onions and topped with gruyere cheese.... panazanella salad with various roasted vegetables.... lamb bolognese that I cooked in the pressure cooker and finished on the stove top.... and panna cotta with non-processed Greek honey and fresh berries... along with a couple Old Fashioned cocktails and several bottles of Montepulciano and Shiraz. Also smoked my first H Upmann Half Corona (so so) and 2002 LGC Med d'Or #2 (decent).
