Jnaube Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 Another post on this here: http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113173&hl= Missed it. I wouldn't have spend all that time copy pasting everything!
nikesupremedunk Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I would assume that they don't want to put too many CC's on there because they are mainly USA based. But I never took their list seriously so...yea
SCgarman Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 It is an American magazine with non Cuban cigar advertisers who pay the bills. If CCs dominated the ratings, it would certainly isolate readers from the US who we know cannot legally obtain or smoke Cubans. Simple politics.
riazp Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I agree with Figaro, in the end its all about rewarding their advertisers...I actually agree more with CA's list that Cigar Journals list...something I thought I'd never say
Loonytoony Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Non cubans are good but they dont beat cubans.
cigcars Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 ? A Nat Sherman is in the Top Ten???? Now I've seen everything
La Suerte Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 It's just commercial claptrap..I take it for what it is & choose to ignore...
laficion Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Non cubans better then Cubans ?? That is B.S. Never beilieve a supide MAGASINE. And they are SUPIDE;but they have to be if they want to make money out of it . The world would know by now . Guy
Smallclub Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Errr… does this forum really need TWO threads on CA's Top 25?
stunod Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 It is an American magazine with non Cuban cigar advertisers who pay the bills. If CCs dominated the ratings, it would certainly isolate readers from the US who we know cannot legally obtain or smoke Cubans. Simple politics. Bingo !
Jah Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 ? A Nat Sherman is in the Top Ten???? Now I've seen everything Have you smoked it yet? I'm not exactly a Nat Sherman homer but Herklots and his crew did a great job on the Timeless series.
Puros Y Vino Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 It is an American magazine with non Cuban cigar advertisers who pay the bills. If CCs dominated the ratings, it would certainly isolate readers from the US who we know cannot legally obtain or smoke Cubans. Simple politics. Exactly. This is the core issue for CA. They have to cater to what their readers can buy and those who need justification for buying ad space.
jazzbass Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I heard great things about the Timeless Series. But thats from a guy who smokes a lot of NC's. Still...
Jah Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 When I consider all the cigars I smoked this year, I would say the best of the 2012 releases I smoked were almost all Cubans with the exception of this year's Opus X Reserva d'Chateau. Other than that, PSD4 H. Upmann made my favorite cigars this year.
