brazoseagle Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Another year down, and with a lot on their plates and the fun police trying to kick them in the taint , the Pirate and his band of misfits have once again worked their arses off for all of us and continue to make this the best cigar forum with the best cigars in the World!!! You all work hard and play hard and that balance is highly respected and appreciated. As we close out the year, I for one hope 2013 brings some great things for us all. Heres to Rob and his gang, thank you guys and have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas and New Year! Drink Up Me Hearties, Yo Ho! FYI : My 2013 Resolution = Eat More Steak!

I simply have been unable to apply myself 100% to the forum as I would have liked. Even my correspondence which has been a point of pride has suffered. Planning for and enacting Fed Govt Legislation. Setting up the SW and HK JV with good mate Ravi. Working through plain packaging for Aussies. Setting up the *****AS network (Cigar Underground Terra Australis) and in the process of rolling it out internationally. New Internet Legislation came down Aug 14 for a Sep 1 implementation. Managed to get separated this year as well. Thankfully my x wife and I are good mates and as a family unit we are functioning well. I do want to point out something however. Smithy and Diana have worked 12 hours a day since January 2012. Lisa is away on maternity leave until January albeit I thank her so much for helping out while I was away in Havana. Without Smithy and Di I would be toast. Neither has taken a holiday this year and I can tell you the Christmas break cannot come fast enough. I love those two and they have allowed me to handle everything that needs to be done. Saying that I am a good 3 weeks behind my own schedule for what needs to be completed for 2012 but I will get there. It sounds like hard yards doesn't it .....but it isn't one way. The challenges have invigorated all of us as a communtiy, particularly on the Aussie side. We are stronger, faster, closer than at any point in our history. The battle lines have been drawn, we have shut our mouths to Govt and now enter the prohibition era....which is perhaps where I belonged all along. Hoist the Jolly Roger and sail outide the limits of the freedom theifs. A huge thanks to our Aussie *****AS members. The Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Havanathon/Brisbane fucntions were off the charts. Never drop your chins gents. Extend the middle finger in your salute to the red witch and lead her on a merry chase. Personally I have never felt so alive. We have yet but started. A final thanks to our mods. You have all been magnificent. To Guy, we hope to have you back soon after a tumultuous year health wise. You are in our prayers/thoughts daily. Your own battle is an inspiration to me far beyond you know. En Fin. Charge a glass and raise it. Bring on 2013. Let us kill the pig and showcase how spirit and ingenuity triumphs over repression every God damn bloody time. El Pres

A fantastic bunch that has done nothing but gone the extra mile to make everyone feel like mates. Rob, I too had no idea about your separation. Add that to all of the government changes, and I am sure this has to be one of the more stressfull years for you. Lets not forget Cohiba for all the years of loyal companionahip to Rob, and Ken for...well being Ken and providing us with some great comedy double act performances with Rob! Here's hoping 2013 is a great year for you Rob, both professionally & personally! As for Di, Smithy, Kurt and the others....Well done guys for keeping HMS Czar sailing straight and true through 2012s rough waters (even if there was a small mutiny while Captain Rob was in Havana)! Smithy, if you want some holidays just follow Lisa's example and get yourself pregnant and a get a years paid holiday.....an engineer like yourself should be able to figure out some way to achieve this!
