EuroTrash Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I got gifted one and was pleasantly surprised. Great morning stick. I'll be picking up a box of these shortly. Not well known and great price.
smokenj Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I love these sticks, but the box that I had purchased earlier this year I was unhappy with draw wise. I found all of them to be plugged and had to run a skewer through them. After opening them up they were wonderful.
OleOle Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Just received a box from our hosts; have to say, they smell absolutely delicious, cannot wait to try them!
MontrealRon Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 The Hand Made are non existant, but it is, no? The cello wrapped cigars are machine made. These boxes are usually marked "cello" or "cellophane", on the name label, but never "machine-made". The others are machine bunched and hand-wrapped; and the boxes are usually stamped "Totalmente a mano" on the bottom, though this is at best a half truth. There were no fully hand made Montecarlos before c.2002, when the cigar-rolling machines were finally abandoned. Those previously machine made cigars that survived the big change-over were reborn as fully hand made, though generally using the same tobaccos that were used in their former incarnations.
RockemSockem Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 >> New FOH! I was just in Cuba last month and brought home lots of cigars. It feels like a spent a small fortune. I've been eyeing the *****INT site and so far have been able to resist the urge to purchase anything. After reading this thread, and being only $125/box, I've placed my first order. Can't wait to try them! Thanks guys. (no sarcasm, honest) /Dave
RockemSockem Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Order received (earlier in the month)! Had one, tasted great. I was surprised how long it took to smoke! Overall, pleased with the purchase.Pics below. 1
torsion Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Damn - looking nice there, I've been wanting to grab more PL other than the Spainish regional Secretos I bought last year.

PuroDan Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I have never had a Monte Carlo, but the PL panatella was good considering the price point/ and the fact it was a short filler
earthson Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Gonna pull the trigger soon!!! You won't regret it. If you like skinny, these are simply amazing when you figure the price. Currently vying with RASS as my supreme favorite smoke!
smokenj Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Could be humidity. Mine are perfect. Humidity isn't the issue with these. I have my setup sitting at 65. I have spoken to a few people on the subject and they all seem to say the same thing. Don't get me wrong; it's a great cigar. I just wished I didn't need to unclog each and every one. I'm hoping my next box is better.
RickHendeson Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Call me old-fashioned, but I use my drybox for the same thing and it works well as long as I can adequately plan what I'll want to smoke in a day or two's time. This.
CigarMike Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 These will definitely be my next purchase!
smokinjaycutler Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Excellent smoke in my opinion. Some have been a bit tight on the draw but not terrible. I get a raisin flavor and they are great with coffee as others have mentioned. And this is coming from an early 2014 box. EML Feb 14.

teamrandr Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Yeah Ive smoked a few from '14 and they are good but as others have stated the draw was tight.
Walt69 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Recent one i had was on the tight side but still let off a good amount of smoke and flavor.
nikesupremedunk Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Just ordered a box of these as well as the PLP's. Let's see how they turn out…excited!
JohnnyCigar Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I enjoy the Montecarlo very much. Mild but flavorful.
Corylax18 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I received an EML ABR 14 box the first week of December. I gave them about 6 weeks to rest and tried one. The first one was the worst drawing cigar I've ever had. The draw testing machine must not have been working the day they finished this box. I ended up cutting about an inch and half from the head of the cigar that was SOLID. No amount of poking or rolling between my fingers was going to help. After I cut of the densest part, I poked from the head towards the foot and tried again, a little something, but I couldn't take more than a few more puffs as the smoke was harsh and acrid due to how hard I had to draw. Very disappointed with my first experience.
