These two robustos are essentially the same price point and are at a premium to the rest of the Robusto vitola. Which do you prefer and why?

I prefer the Trini for it's spice. Last CoRo that impressed me was from 96. I'd much rather smoke a Cohiba CE. But don't go by what other people like. Try a couple of each yourself.

Probably best to try both as mentioned; they're both at the top when it comes to Robustos, so it comes down to personal preference.

IMO, Trini has a slight edge, to me Trini offers a more unique flavor profile. Plus, if i'm not mistaken, the Trinis will be discontinued, so might wanna stock up a bit.

Coro no question, need age however.

Agree 100%; however in the meantime, the Trini RoT is my goto Robusto. Excellent at any age over 1 year.

CoRo. Any age. Not close, especially when price is taken into consideration.

I personally do not like any Trini except the Reyes and the occasional Fundy and coloniales.

Had my first reyes today and dare I say I prefer to robo T and other trinis, wouldn't buy a box however but was quite enjoyable.

I've smoked through 2 boxes of CoRo's (2008 and 2009) and found them all to be decent at best. On the other hand, I've smoked through 3 boxes of Robusto T's (all less than a year old) and really enjoyed them all. So, between the two, I would go with the Robusto T's every time. That being said, if price is an issue, consider trying out some PSD 4 tubos...I've smoked through multiple 15 packs of them and they were all crackers!

Late 2009 I would have shouted Robusto T but of lately I feel somewhat disappointed about the way they've come around. A bit too linear on my palate. So it would be CoRo for me. Would this be between Siglo VI and Robusto Extra however... but that's a different case...

Coro can be excellent and would be the pick if at their best and suitably aged. Trinidad Robusto 'T' are also very good, and probably more consistent than Coro. Good to try both.

I used to love the Trini T in the past. It was full of a delicious grassy flavor in a creamy texture. however i just don't get it anymore. what a shame.

Robusto T is one of the best cigars already, and it's still young. Royal Robusto is quickly making its way to the top 3.

The last time I looked the Trinidad was more expensive than the Cohiba.

Coro no question, need age however.

How much age do you think they need?

Given those who think CoRo with age are better, how do you compare the two two at equal stages?

By this standard, the Robusto T is superior, IMHO. Heck, by any standard.
