What's the most expensive cigars you've tossed?

On one occasion, I tossed a mid 90's Monte A and a Partagas 155 Anniversary Salamones. Both cigars were plugged, and I smoked only a couple inches of both of them. The waitress looked at me like I was on crack when she asked if she could empty the ashtray. There was a small ashtray sitting there with 2 big phucking cigars that were a waste.

This is why I tell people never to depend on on cigar to make an occasion... no matter if it was stored in an air-tight container for 30 years, or you paid 150 bucks for the cigar. Always have a handful of choices if planning for a "special" occasion.

Siglo VI that was shitty tasting and had a very tight draw. Smoked just over an inch, cut it in half and tried again, cursed profusely, chucked it.

I think I wasted about 8 cigars total when I had a overhumidification problem. 2 Robo T's, a Sig VI, a BGM, Sig II's, BPC's, etc. It was the most frustrating thing...you have to puff on it real hard only to get a pinch of smoke...

Why didn't you try cutting the Monte A to see if that solves it? I mean you have plenty of room to cut

Cuaba 2000 from the jar. Paid 107 bucks for it ( it's expensive in quebec). Smoked half of it.

These include a psp1, an ap pl robusto, sig vi, ra grande de espana (that one really hurt) but fortunately nothing too baller. That's why I love me rass and d4s, they're cheap enough to replace when this happens and your wallet doesn't feel bad.

Same here, tossed to many to keep up. The worst thing is when you did not bring a lot of extras if you're away from home. Now I make sure to have plenty and usually bring a couple back unless some are plugged or not tasting good, or I unexpectedly gift some.

I've had quite a few bad tasting behikes...what a waste, although after a year they are much much better..but still I could have bought a lot of good regular smokes with that money. Also a monte A outside at Starbucks (back in the day when everyone was drinking tha coffee) that I had no where near the time to smoke, had to ditch 3/4 of that and get back to work.

I think chanceshmer's experience last night with a plugged 1966 is further proof that you can't rely on expensive cigars, poor guy at least he had a backup and a good time which is all that mattered.

Great thread and a true example of going with the flow for FOH. Part of the cost of doing business as far as I am concerned when dealing with an incredible, handmade item and highest standards.

Matthew and I will use a wooden poking stick to try and unplug a dud but if that does not work we move on.

A fat DC size Por Larranaga UK Regional that after one third smoked was obviously never going to be better than empty air. A big cigar that I take it was greatly underfilled
