The recent post on favorite vitolas got me thinking about coronas. The only one I've smoked is the recent RA Extra and I loved the format. So where next from here?

I'm hoping the answer isn't just Monte 3 as I've got plenty of Montes in my life already :)

Siglo IV, JLS 1 and SLR A are all great cgs

But they are not Coronas. Like them strong- Bolivar & Partagas. Milder- QdeO.

RA Corona, Sig III, Bolivar, Partagas, and Upmann

Love lost... a lost art, the Cuban Coronas.

Add the D-3, the Punch, the du Roi. They kept the Monte 3, probably the worst of them!!!

Luckily they kept one of the best for now. If you are looking to purchase a great coronas, look no further than the QdO Coronas Claro. Rob probably has them.

The Partagas corona and Punch corona, both in cabinet of 50, were the best IMO.

They're still my favorites today, but now I have them in dress boxes and quality of flavors is one degree below.

Then come the Sancho Panza. I also like the VR Familiar but for some reason it's the most expensive of all…

q'do coronas claro...probably the best cigar(let alone corona)under 10 years made in cuba.

My package of Boli Coronas from 2005 was stolen off my front porch - I am still sore about that :tantrum:

Vendor ran out shortly after :tantrum: :tantrum:

QdO Coronas are great with a few years on them

I think I know the vendor you;re referring to- I was just going to order more...

My vote is for the Bolis all the way.

It's all good, Ray - thanks for the box of RA898 that you are sending me in return :perfect10:

Punch corona, both in cabinet of 50, were the best IMO.

Just beautiful, the older guys who teach me about cigars call it the quintessential vintage Cuban cigar.

I also vote for the Quay D'Orsay Coronas. A reasonably mild smoke, but wonderful complexity.
