El Presidente Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 How we miss Punch Joe at HSA Marketing Well done mate
cckandb24 Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Is there an official word on what pricing for these will be. Will the be released small bathces at a time so that you can never get them and be tricked into thinking they are actually good.
CanuckSARTech Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Wow. A stunner of a review by Jose. I for one am looking forward to this release. And like Shlomo said, I also am sadly expecting that these have got to sit for a few years to hit their stride. But, it's too bad to hear this review. Things definitely need to look up for this cigar.
investandprosper Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Thanks for the review! Sounds like it missed the mark a fair bit. Sure did look tasty, though!
Puros Y Vino Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Great, honest review. I guess I'll have to try a couple before committing to a bunch of these. I hate bitterness in my cigar. My last two Unicos were harsh whereas my first two were honey sweet with coffee.
android Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Nice job Joe...if it's not smoking like a Cohiba now it won't be in 3 or 5 yrs!
maverickdrinker Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Thanks for the review joe. Sounds like I will have to try a few before committing. Was the cigar you tried from the festival? I heard that the festival release was made with Medio tempo and the regular production will not have medio tempo. Could this be the reason for the difference in flavours?
Ryan Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Great write up Punch Joe. I've only had one of these so far, I didn't make it to the opening night in the end but somebody kindly picked up my goody bag for me. I smoked one when I got back to Ireland. I found mine nice enough, a creaminess element to it and some sweet spice but nothing special, generally disappointed and don't think I'll be searching out too many of them. Hope all's well with you otherwise.
Dbone Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I enjoyed reading that, Punch Joe. Marketing loves "New" products, but sometimes... new just doesn't work because it's not necessary.
cigarros Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Thanks Rob for posting this from Joe! I love read his review! Well done as usual
CaptainQuintero Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 It'l be very interesting to see how the production version will be different to the festival blend, especially how the lack of MT effects it.
mazolaman Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Always great to read your insiders view Joe. Thanks.
IcedCanuck Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 I have yet to read a review that puts a positive spin on these sticks. If these cigars are going to be priced high, as most people are speculating, I think I'll be avoiding them.
