RA lancero or a RA 109 please........ or bring back the RA corona.

50 cabs for all of them

+1

A return of the Bolivar Demi Tasse would also fit the bill.

With a little sarcasm I would say a 60 x 235 Cohiba with shiny band would be a best-seller. :P

Personally I'd like to have Ramon Allones Lonsdales in cabinet of 25. :2thumbs:

Dip in a corona gorda or a Boli 898 would be my vote

This fascinates me - Why would a small cigar beat the point of a RE? Must an RE be a Robusto, Dobles or some other jawbreaking size? why can't it be about unique brands and sizes that really show something different to the consumer in that region?

Besides, some of the smallest RE's have been some of the very best, IMO - The Punch Superfinos (a Minutos) of 2005/2007 was one of the original RE's - it is absolutely delicious now! Or more recently - I smoked a single of the Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 4 RE Andorra, and immediately bought a box, it was that good.....and I normally have no like at all for Juan Lopez! That one is a Perla size!

Different Strokes, man.......please understand that I don't mean to disparage your comment, more just to understand what you mean by it beating the point of an RE - 'cause there have been some really good small-format RE's!

No offense taken, and I'd be the first to support the fact that some of the best cigars out there come in small sizes. My humidor's never out of El Principes, RASCC, Shorts and Bolivar PCs.

My perspective is that RE's and LE's, in general, are supposed to be one off cigars that are horded and smoked when celebrating a special occasion to "enhance" the moment. Therefore, I'd tend towards a nice big cigar that would take a minimum of 1 hour (would prefer an even longer smoke) to smoke rather than a small half hour smoke.

Again, I hope I don't sound like I'm disparaging small cigars, so forgive me if I inadvertently did.

Great - now you have me wanting to track down boxes of the Superfinos and Seleccion #5 ;)

You won't be disappointed, but I'd be really surprised if you can track down some Superfinos! They are 5-7 years old now, and not easy to find. The Seleccion No. 5 is a great smoke....drop me a PM if you want to try a 'lil trade for a couple of 'em. Since they don't ship from Andorra, you'd be hard pressed to get a box without going to Andorra.....

It's all good, brother - I get now what you're saying - and there is nothing wrong with your perspective. That's the whole point OF a perspective! I think for me, I'd agree with you for LE's......definitely an "occasion" cigar. To me, the RE's are not quite the same, and I think that is borne out in the myriad of sizes you get for RE's - they seem more towards the marca exploration for local markets, and there is many more smaller ones than LE's. So many Petit Belicosos, Petit/Short Robustos, etc.

No worries, dude! We're all on the same side here when it comes to the little guys!

Although I really like Ramon Allones and Bolivar, it seems to me that there are too many RA and Bolivar regionals. At first it was nice getting RA's and Boli's in different formats but now they just seem to be all too much alike. There have been 19 Ramon Allones Regional Editions, 1 EL and 1 LCDH exclusive. 21 Bolivar Regionals and 1 EL.

I think that there are still a few other brands that have yet to be used and older discountinued ones as well. I would seriously like Habanos to limit how many of each brand are made each year. 4-5 Regionals each of Ramon Allones, Punch, and Bolivar on any given year is too much of a good thing.

My Choice is still Diplomaticos Robustos in a wooden box like they had in the 70's
