I don't watch the NBA (love NCAA ball), but anytime Kobe gets his shoes handed to him, I'm a happy man. Plus, I really enjoy seeing the underdog win!

Lin is the boost the knicks needed, who knows if hes just a flash in the pan or whatever but for now as a knicks fan i'm enjoying the ride

Don't worry he won't have another as that was the game of his life.

He'll disappear soon.

I have watched 3 of the 4 games. He has talent and a high basketball IQ. He is lucky as in right player, right place, right time (NY desperately needed a point guard). It's not a lucky streak like he is flippin up frapdoodles and they just happen to go in. D'Antoni knew he was a good offensive player, but was reluctant to use him as he thought Lin lacked on the defensive end. Watching the games his defence has not been an issue.

His points and minutes will drop when Melo and Stoudemire return, but Melo and Stoudemire need someone like Lin to play well. My prediction Lin is going to help this team win more games and the Knicks will now make the playoffs.

It may be Baron Davis that disappears soon.

What the hell is on his chin? Drool, or a lopsided bleach-blonded goatee???!?!!

He had a bandaid on his chin. It has come loose in that vid.

Tough to see him maintain this wicked streak. I am sure that he has brought a lot of non serious nba fans like myself back to watching games.

I hope he can keep it up. Exciting player nonetheless.

Players have done this with the Warriors for the last 5-10 years now. Its more hyped now just because he's in NYC. Ironic, because he WAS iwth the Warriors but never got playing time...LOL. I hope he continues to shine as I think Amare and Carmelo are about as overrated as they get in sports, but I think we all know this won't last...

Amar'e was the MVP for the first half of last season, and all the Carmelo haters are ridiculous, the guy has ice blood running through his veins, name one player you would rather have taking the last shot in a game; any answer other than Melo is wrong. His job isn't to create plays for others, it's to kill the opposing team and twist the knife in their gut when they are down and out.

As for Lin, he schooled Deron Williams, the best PG in the league. Made Devin Harris, a former all-star, look like a scrub. Then, he makes the Washington Wizards look worse than the Washington Generals. Finally, he outplays a healthy Lakers team, taking a team of depleted role-players to 4-0 under his watch. He now has 15 points against the Timberwolves with 2 rebounds and 4 assists, so anyone saying that he is a 'flash in the pan' doesn't know anything about basketball, this dude has won at every level and has simply flown under the radar. Any one with enough common sense can come to the conclusion why on their own.

People in Taiwan are going CRAZY about this guy, like he's the savior or something.... although the guy was born and raised in the USA. I don't really understand this delusional sense of national pride Taiwanese people get for people who aren't a product of the Taiwanese environment and/or upbringing, same goes for Jason Wu. But people in Taiwan LOVE basketball and love anything that even smells of Taiwan, so whatever Jeremy Lin does, he will be cheered on by Taiwanese fans. People here have been Kobe-lovedrunk for years, so it was pretty interesting to see them struggle with choosing who to support.

But from what I heard/read he's worked hard to get to this point, so it's all well deserved!

Not so good in the second half tonight (credit to Rubio's D) but all is forgotten when you give your team the lead with 4 seconds left on the clock.

Now it gets really interesting since teams will study what made Lin go 1-12 in the second half of that game. How the Knicks, D'Antoni, and Lin adjust will really show whether Lin can have a productive NBA season/career.

That said, most points by a player in their first four starts since 1977:

Lin - 109

Allen Iverson - 101

Shaquille O'Neal - 100

Michael Jordan - 99

His talent level might not be high. He might not play for 10-15 years. However, that record speaks for itself.

This is a really interesting stat. Thanks

As for Lin, 4 games and people are going nuts and jumping on his bandwagon. Remember Anthony Morrow and the streak he had in GS 2 years ago? How about Al Harrington putting up huge number there as well. I hope Lin sticks around, as it will only be good for the NBA as a whole, but the fact that he is with the Kincks leads people to praise him far too highly. Its only been a handful of games. Wait until he finishes this season with 20+ ppg, and 8+ assists. THEN he will be worthy. Not yet.

It reminds me a little of the Brandon Jennings bandwagon when he put up some big numbers as a rookie and his climatic 55 point game against GSW.I was on that bandwagon and it was fun. So is this one with Lin. Jennings came back to earth, but not with a thump. He is still a great player. I'm sure it will be much the same with Lin.

HAHAHAHAHA probably the worst post I have ever seen in my 4 years on this forum. Anyone with any basketball intelligence would probably of current players pick Kobe. If they could choose any player, some might switch from Kobe to Jordan. Mello? I'm guessing you're a New Yorker and that's pretty standard for New York sports fans to always claim their athletes as the all time best.

There is no doubt that Kobe is the man you want taking the last shot for you when you are down at the buzzer. I think most knowledgeable about NBA basketball would concur. What I truly find amazing, and what makes Kobe so great is that the other team knows he is going to be the go to guy who will be taking the potential last second game winning shot, and yet so often still fail to stop him. That's what makes him so great. I don't think there is another NBA player who is as consistently clutch as Bryant.

All I need to say is 79/115.
