Title says it all.

You've just been handed a Partagas Serie D4, a Partagas Short, a Partagas Serie P2. a Partagas Lusitania, and a Partagas 898.

Which one gets smoked first?

Also, big thanks to the Czar Team for always being helpful, communicative, and sending my cigars in the most secure and safest packaging I've seen. Great operation, just had to say it again. :perfect10:

Man I guess it all depends on how much time you have to smoke said cigar. They are all solid smokes, the short for a 30-45 min smoke, d4 about an hour, 898 about 75 mins, p2 about 90-100 mins, lusi is a good 120-150 mins. I'm a big partagas fan and enjoy all of the above, cant go wrong either way.

It depends if you go by smoking time or strength.

Strengthwise, I would go:

P2 and D4 almost on par, Shorts, Lusi, 898

If time matters, the order would be:

Short, D4, P2,

898 and Lusitanias on par.

Enjoy! :2thumbs:

As others have mentioned. Go with strength or smoking time. I'd go with smoking time (small -> large)

Party Short

PSD4

P2

898

Lusi

Enjoy! :ok:

First I would give P2 away as a gift to someone who likes them. After that I would smoke D4 and Short. Then I would save 898 and Lusi for a rainy day.

And don't forget that Bolivar and Ramon Allones are also made in the Partagas factory and these are must trys if you have not yet!

Great Point, RA and bolivar are great marca's and must try's. Rascc and Bolivar PC's are yummy

I'm already an admitted sucker for most Bolivars. That's why I figured I'd better give the Partagas some more attention.

In order of preference:

D4

Short

898

Don't like the rest - would trade for something I like.

That Lusitania will take way to long to smoke , better just send it to me and i'll give it a proper cremation

I love a good P2, pumpkin pie spice all the way. Great this time of year on fall day. Partagas is one of my favorite, so you really can't go wrong with any (haven't had any of their new release). The 898 are very heavy cigars for me, speaking of its flavor and body. I like to dry box it a couple days to tighten up the flavors some.

Don't forget to tell us how you liked them in the review forum :peace:

Will do.

I've enjoyed the D4 in the past. Last one I had was over a year ago though, and it had at least two years of age on it then. I remember it being peppery and earthy, and rather strong.

Just remember to try and let them rest for 30 days if they spent some time in transit...otherwise, you may find the first ones you smoke to be off when compared to the others that may have re-acclimated. Enjoy!

Where do I sign?

Personally am not a big fan of young Partagas' other than the short. Like others have mentioend, it obviously depends on the time you have seeing as there is such a range in sizes. Oh, and Riaz smokes too fast, add at least 10-15 minutes (if not more!) to every time he mentioned...lol

Huh? i dont know how that happened to be honest, i guess i smoked it fast because it was tight and i kept on puffing away at it

I agree

All 5 are great smokes IMHO. The order I'd go is:

1. PSD4

2. Shorts

3. P2

4. Lusi

5. 898V

Enjoy...I don't think you can go wrong with any of these babies.
