:cigar: Looks like Partagas has jumped onto the US jawbreaker sized cigar fad joining the Cohiba Behikes. With a massive 54 ring by 5 and a half inches, how many robusto fans will try out a box? or a single? or whatever? Just curious!

I do enjoy the Partagas Marq. The only large ring gauge I've had that I really enjoyed, to where I would buy more, were the RJY Duke LE. So I guess there is reason for me to try these, but I probably wont. There's not much broke to fix, so I'm not ready to abandon the reliable in search of something better.

I'm defiantly going to be interested to hear others experiences with this cigar though.

i'll defenitly give it a try, i'm hoping Rob will carry the box of 5 in his shop, seems like the perfect size box for this cigar. So yeah i,ll buy a box of 5 for sure, I love everything partagas. If i'm not mistaked this is essentially a Duke vitola no?

I'll buy a fiver for sure - love that they come in such a small box to try. I usually don't go for that thick ring gauge cigars anymore but what the heck...

Unlikely to try one unless gifted. Not a fan of larger ring gages

I'm a big Partagas fan, so I will definitely be giving the new E2 a try. Honestly, like many others here on FoH, I'm not a huge fan of the large rg cigars. However, I do like trying all the new cigars that come out. Experimentation is part of the enjoyment, at least for me, or smoking Habanos. Honestly, while the RyJ Wide Churchill was a jawbreaker, I really enjoyed it. Hope the E2 will be just as good, or even better...it could be more akin to the P1. That would be stellar.

I will for sure!

ditto

Tritto- of course I'll never turn down a free cigar. Buying? No way.

Of my own accord - doubtful.

On someone else's dime - break out the wah guitar.

My sentiments exactly!

I'll probably go for one of the 5 ct boxes just to try it out. There's no harm in trying new things and I'm not really bothered by large ring gauge cigars. But the new release I really cannot wait to try out is the Upmann Half Corona.

Duke is half an inch longer, which is where this should be (maybe even a full inch) to justify the donkey c**k ring...Why can't Habanos SA, just bring forward some nice grand corona 46 ring cigars?! :tantrum:

+1

If they are going to get down on their knees to the uberring crowd then at least balance it out for the crowd who enjoy more reasonable RGs

I would try one the ring gauge is something that would put me off though. I liked the bhk 54 but that ring gauge is pretty much max for me.

I'm not a fan of such a large guage but I do enjoy most everything Partagas puts out there, so I'd at least give it a try.

Ditto this but 50 RG is usually as far as I like to go with "straight sided" sticks.

You guys think they'll be bringing out a 6 x 60 cigar in the near future? Seems to be the hot size with the NC companies. Largest ring I've smoked has been 52, 60 seems a little belligerent.

Depends on what the price point is, and what the reviews a few months from now are. I won't be in a rush to try one, if I ever get around to it.

Also keen for the Upmann Half Corona! Hope they're not ridiculously priced.

I like Partagas, so eventually I'll try it. I'm not put off by a 54 ring, though that is generally the largest I'll go. I enjoy trying new things, and this is a new thing.
