Said critic takes only a few bites of the appetizer leaving the rest of the meal untouched and then writes a review on the meal as whole. Now everyone knows this is how this self proclaimed expert operates, he/she makes it known and professes they are so gifted that they know how the rest of the meal is going to be based on those few bites. There would not be a publication in the world who would hire this food critic or publish any of his/her reviews and recommendations. This food critic would be the laughing stock of journalism for his arrogance and thought of self importance/worth. There wouldn't be a reader who would take anything he said seriously and stop reading his articles. Restaurants would probably not even let him in the door knowing they would not get a fare shake. So I don't get it. Why do a lot of people still believe CA's reviews and what they rate a cigar at. As far as I am concerned, the National Enquirer has more street cred than they do. ...... Rob, you should start your own cigar magazine. You already write better reviews than these wankers do. Put it in print and make some money while helping more people.
CaptainQuintero Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 It certainly seems a waste, unless they just don't enjoy cigars that much and it purely is 'just a job' for them. I'd hope they would go back and finished them and the lack of smoking is purely a filming constraint but still...I don't think AJ will be bringing them any forty year old cigars again!

I just bought my first issue, great magazine, there is also a french magazine, L'amateur du cigare, very good also.

He really does write his reviews in an entertaining way which somehow make him able to convey his total experience. Almost makes you feel like you smoked it yourself. Maybe Trevor could do a column that is related and tied into his site. Lisa could write about what really happens there, lol. Ken could do a wine review, sit in for some cigar reviews. Hell you could even give him his own column to piss and moan in. sorry Ken... It would be a funny read though! Smithy could do reviews, talk about humidor stock, whats looking good. Have a different guest writer from the forum every issue. God bundwallah, you aren't kidding about available content!

Smithy could defenitly keep us up to date in a "whats hot, whats no" column about whats coming out of cuba, which are on which are way off. the mag could be a bi-monthly digital magazine with links to their youtube page, stuff like that. these guys have a well of knowledge. About the video though...I wonder how Ajay felt about giving those guys classic cubans and they barely touch them...its almost a slap in the face if you ask me
