asmith Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Thank you to Michael for sending these cigars over to us. What a great cigar which Rob and I enjoyed down to the very end. A great cigar, a great afternoon, thanks Michael.
ramon_cojones Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Fine review gents, too bad these are hard to get and pricey.
kaleehb Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Great review as always! These are on my bucket list!
laficion Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Great review guys I would have loved a sampler pack of 5 but they only sell by the box, so ........
bassman Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 One of very few expensive cigar I thought was worth buying. IMHO, the 2007 is better than the 2008 release.
Lotusguy Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 I've been searching high and low for those - could someone PM me the source that has them in stock?
riazp Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Nice review, head very good things about this cigar on another forum as well.
CaptainQuintero Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Sweet review again, I was expecting them to fall apart after seeing those damage pics. Nice choice on the haircut too Smithy, very suave!
pedromendes Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 I believe they can't use the Montecristo name in Mexico because of trademark issues - I'm sure Trevor knows all about it!
Puros Y Vino Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 I believe they can't use the Montecristo name in Mexico because of trademark issues - I'm sure Trevor knows all about it! Apparently, Habanos SA can't use "Punch" in Canada due to the same issue. The LCDH nor Thomas Hinds seem to have "Punch" listed on their product lists.

Puros Y Vino Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 thats correct, due to trademark BS lcdh here in canada cannot sell cuban punch, we only have yummy honduran punch I actually have some "yummy Honduran Punch Presidentes". This was before I got into Cubans. And actually they are not bad. Huge cigars. Good 2-3 hour smoke.
cadillacdoc Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 One of very few expensive cigar I thought was worth buying. IMHO, the 2007 is better than the 2008 release. I liked both, a review side by side a year or so ago.... http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/inde...do+dantes+conde
cvm4 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I smoked one last year and was very happy with it. My only one and it was a pleasant experience to the nub.
Colt45 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I believe they can't use the Montecristo name in Mexico because of trademark issues - I'm sure Trevor knows all about it! The global brands (which includes Montecristo) are not supposed to be used for REs - I'm not sure if that's what you're alluding to (no idea on the Mexican trademark issue).
dicko Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 sitting here with a partagas 898 and zacapa 23 enjoying the review. cheers gents
