So the PLPC put me in such a good mood I decided to break open the new cabinet I recieved from LFTH a few weeks ago. Turned on some tunes and sat and enjoyed the last hour of sunlight in the warm summer air.

First thing I notice upon lighting up is the smell of the smoke, it's just gusts of milk chocolate. Straight off waves of rich buttery leather, no harsh flavours or bitterness in this stick with around a year and a half on it. Now the next flavour is something not expected, old lady's perfume. You know you will walk past an old grannie and you will almost get overcome with that blast of perfume? That, but not in a bad way, just a loverly perfume on the tongue. Hints of chocolate digestive biscuit just flash in and out, however this may have been the chocolate digestive biscuit I ate before lighting the cigar.

The perfume has gone now, replaced with more of a solid base of the chocolate digestive biscuit. I guess eating an actual chocolate digestive biscuit didn't effect the flavour. Pretty it's all back to that rich buttery leather, no complaints here!

(left the flash on for this pic by accident)

The old lady has come back, waves of perfume and more biscuit coming in and out but still to a background of the rich leather. The first two thirds were solid medium with the final third just getting medium-full.

Very enjoyable, I can't wait for a few more years on these beauties! Pretty much a perfect end to the afternoon, two lovely cigars and great music!

Awesome review, you nailed it :)

I love this cigar, it really doesn't get much better for me. Buttery biscuit, leather, shortbread, espresso...

Choc digestive biscuits

kind of like an oatmeal shortbread but with a layer of chocolate on top, yeah our biscuits are not the same thing as your biscuits at all lol

Nice. The biscuit part I figured was our version of a cookie. The digestive part is what threw me off. Sounds medicinal to the uninformed. Keep the reviews coming!!

Lisa might have some boxes left, there was two for sale from the HQ forum and one last week that I think didn't sell :D

Old granny's perfume! :D

Actually I have experience something like this in some custom rolls I had.

Smoking my last Mag 46 right now, an 09. No old granny perfume here

Just great creamy chocolate flavors. I can't believe that no one has jumped on that HQ box from yesterday yet! If I had an extra $250 I'd be all over those. Darkest, oiliest wrappers I've seen in a while on a box of Mag 46.

One of the standout cigars since 2008 and a regular in my current rotation.

Great review Cap

oh yes, one of my favorites as well! I've been working my way through a PSP box, with one in reserve, and I can always depend on them to get me raving about how great a cigar the M46 is.

Great review and one of my favorites. These have been really good the last couple years. I can never find a way to age these ;)
