According to this.

Do the brackets first so 9 + 3 = 12.

Then multiplication with the number next to the brackets. So 2 * 12 = 24

Then division 48/24 = 2.

So 2 is the correct answer. I voted for 288 (did left to right).

288: as stated above by others, parentheses, then multiplication/division from left to right, then addition and subtraction from left to right (not necessary in this case). Confirmed by excel, google, and my brain.

2 is the answer. For those getting 288, you can't divide 48 by 2 until you've done the bracket. BEDMAS.
