So a good mate of mine walks into the humidor while I am upstairs on the phone. Lisa or Smithy attended to him.

On the deck I saw him walk out......with a box of Monte Opens. :P

"Steve.....what the "F***" are you doing?".....Did Smithy Stiff you with those"

" Rob...no...I ...I actually kind of like them"

So there goes it folks. Some people do actually enjoy the Monte Open line

What bottle did you open to celebrate?

Quick question, you posted about cigars from 2007 that are still on the shelves are gonna face deletion. Could the Open line be so horrible (sales wise) that in a couple years they could be deleted from the Monty production sheet and hopefully our memories? Or is this a weed that just won't die?

This weed actually sells quite well in the Middle East/China/New Markets. It isn't going anywhere and should the embargo ever open in the US.....It will be the No 1 cigar targetted by marketing.

Thats great news, let em sell and it leaves us with the good stuff. Plenty of Party 898V to go around.

I thought Americans liked their NC strong and heavy. The Monty Opens might be flavorless, but they're mild too....

Actually I talk ****, but I had a reasonable Regatta once during Halloween, but I'd blame that on the alcohol before I'd ever admit to it being half-decent

They are working on the Budweiser Principle

Good call Prez. We over here in the U.S of A can't help ourselves, as Microsoft and Apple have proven. Like I said leaves all the good stuff to us who know better. While people fight over Cohibas, Montecristos and Monte Opens well have all the 898's we want. Hey what can I say I love that cigar too.

I'm not surprised that it sells well in China. A lot of the nouveau riche wouldn't know or even care that it is utter crap.

And if they see the figures, they might even price it higher to make it more elite for them.

Of course they should be more expensive since they have two bands . . .

lol congrats!

I must say I don't like what this cigar stands for, but if people want to smoke them because of the "cool" packaging then we can't stop them.

Congrats on the sale...and at a profit too! Hopefully there aren't too many boxes left...
