Would be interested to try, but would depend on price. For me, this would have to be really good to supplant Party Shorts.

Meh....

A robusto is about the shortest for me. Anything shorter than that, and I'm lackluster about things. I think what makes a cigar special and different from cigarettes is that smoking a cigar is about flavours, and savouring your downtime, etc. With these new short/mini things being made to "smoke during a break or at lunch", as it seems that H S.A. is gearing them, it just doesn't appease me at all. If you're rushing to suck down a cigar during your break, then it isn't about savouring your cigar time anymore - it's feeding a habit/need at that point, and which is something that I hold cigars above cigarettes for not needing.

A want smoking a cigar to be a special experience, each and every time. Not a rushed thing, sandwiched between a time-burden.

I agree 100%, but...

I'm a relatively slow smoker. It would take me about an hour and a half to get through robusto. There are plenty of occasions when I only have 45 minutes to an hour to enjoy a cigar, so I'm reluctant to light up a robusto (etc.) and have to ditch it half way. In fact, it's pretty rare that I have more than an hour to sit back and smoke something longer.

I get an easy 30 min. with half coronas and minutos. They are truly a treat that can give you the same experience and satisfaction as a larger smoke (when on). I love smoking them on walks with the family/dog, or on nights when I just don't have a lot of time. Like a cigarette? No way. Try them and you will see! I'm happy HSA has added another 1/2 corona (and an Upmann to boot!). Still sad (as others have said) to see others disappear like the Dip5 and Petit Punch...

Ok, I was at the Festival last week, and they introduced them at the H Upmann dinner on Wednesday. I got a 5 pack as a gift, and when I looked inside, I said WTF are these little things. But you know what??? They were VERY GOOD.. nice and earthy , fairly strong, and actually complex. Sure they are a small smoke, but they are little flavor bombs. It also helped they also handed out the Cohiba 1966 2011 EL....GORGEOUS Churchill-type cigar with a pigtail and very dark wrapper.

Ps. I'll post pictures of all the new releases we got at the dinners

Looking forward to the pics. Having seen and held them in the flesh, flavor aside, what are your thoughts on the format - I'm having a little

trouble grasping something shorter than a perla.....

How about cutting a robusto in two pieces? :pig:

These are a 110% must try for me. The 1/2 corona is a big staple in my rotation and I hope these deliver like all the other great 1/2 coronas! Very excited as Upman is alsoprevalent in my humi.

+1

Can't wait to try 'em.

I've done that, lol! I've had pretty good luck with cutting sticks in half as need be. Though having good naturally small cigars is probably better :( I look forward to giving these new Upmanns a try.

I'm extremely interested in these. If they do not come out at a ridiculous price point (ie: more than a El Principe, BCJ, etc. and especially not a Reyes) I will be getting a box to try out. A 3 1/2 inch flavor bomb sounds like a good idea to me. This small smoke serves a purpose so why complain about the size, especially if it's good?

I Agree. Always looking for a cool weather cigar as sitting in the garage for 1+ hours is not that much fun. If the price is good and it gets good reviews I will be all of this one!

Ken's going to love these cigars!

That said, they are definitely on my radar. A November release is fitting as this would make a great winter cigar here in the northeast.
