El Presidente Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 It has come to my attention of late that some of my excellent cigars I have set aside have been disappearing. Details are hazy however I have pieced together the following: * Disappearance appears to occur between 1am and 4am. * Disappearance coincides with night out with mates * The allarms at Czar house are mysteriously disabled. * RA 898/Partagas Connie 1/2/3/Partagas corona all appear to be popular with the thief. Does anyone else have a similar situation? Big night with friends at home and *PooF* unintentionally your greatest cigars disappear perhaps at a time when you are not at your best to appreciate them I know we had a great time smoking them. It would just be nice to have a recollection.
BlueClaw Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I wanna party with you bro !! sounds like my kind of crowd
Puros Y Vino Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 LOL. I think you know the answer. I'm going to make a few Siglo VI's dissappear tomorrow night. Finally got temps above 0 Celsius. A balmy 9C is forecasted.
tmac77 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Rob, Better get a hold of interpol! It seems to be an international crime ring. Similar dissapearances occuring in Toronto. Super bowl Sunday I had a number of Monte 2's dissapear on me in addition to some of my very few remaining H. Umpann mag 46's Need to replenish those Mag 46's in a hurry.
Colt45 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Aside from the drunkenly obvious, what I take from all this is that you're hoarding a stash of discontinued cigars. It's nice to share........
ChanceSchmerr Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 * RA 898/Partagas Connie 1/2/3/Partagas corona all appear to be popular with the thief. Your thief does have exceptional taste. All are amongst my absolute favorites.......thank God the vast ocean between Vancouver Island and Czar HQ nicely eliminates me as a suspect! I get around that specific problem by putting my most treasured boxes of cigars at the very bottom of my humidor. Too much effort needed to dig them out means I never have bleary-eyed thievery of the very best from my Humi!
dB69 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 There seems to be another you who also likes excellent cigars. Have you tried to search him behind your favourite mirror? Wasn't there? Well, he must be faster than light!
laficion Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 * Disappearance appears to occur between 1am and 4am. ------ OK, THAT sounds familiar,____ Check!!* Disappearance coincides with night out with mates-------------- Right, That sounds familiar also_____Check !!!! * The allarms at Czar house are mysteriously disabled.---------- ......I don't think there was one______Check ? * RA 898/Partagas Connie 1/2/3/Partagas corona all appear to be popular with the thief. .......Really ? I could have sworn they were mostly Corona Gordas It would just be nice to have a recollection.....................Well as for me, I'm sure that it won't happen again
Hemsworth Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I've had the same thing happen here...but with fine single malts. Oh that horrible feeling in my gut to see that empty bottle of Balvenie Double Wood sitting on the counter.
Cig Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Mine seem to be disappearing at a rapid pace. The same culprit is also spending lots of my money on additional cigars at a rapid pace too!
BobLobLaw Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 This is easy to fix, just start using the OHS for those cigars you want to save!
FlyFishingDude Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Ken seems to be mysteriously missing from this equation........
Fuzz Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I have a similar problem, but with wine. I have a party, the next morning I find my cellar has been raided, but no empty bottles can be found.
olotti Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Hahahaha, funny. Seems there's a copycat thief in my neck of the woods too. He does have good taste in cigars though.
Firewiz25 Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 LOL, this bandit seems to be a traveler same thing happens here in GA. Only difference is this bandit also drinks all my Ron Z!
cigcars Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 *Well, speaking of uninvited grubby little hands helping themselves to our stash... As I share and educate my acquaintences of my fine havana seegars, one of my "new converts" to our hobby came to the job one day telling me what had happened to the selection of singles I'd given him for his home made budding humidor: he came home to find his cousin with some of those singles; he had split them open to put that "funny weed" inside, the way some wisenheimers do with those Philly Blunts thinking they're gonna "disguise" somethin'! Horrified, he demanded, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, MAN???!!!!" His cousin just said, "Oh you can get some more! You can get some more!" Of course all we could do was just grab our faces at that story while doing the writhing dance. "He didn't know!" "If he only knew!" "THOSE weren't those cheap cigars FOR that, ma-a-a-n!!" And of course we knew it was no point sharing with little cuz what they were and the history behind them not only because his priorities weren't where ours were - but he obviously is enjoying the "other forbidden fruit" of treated plant induced pleasures!
