Now here is a cigar you don't hear much about. They became, like so many now, just an empty box on an accountants ledger, another box that would to remain unchecked. Another classic lost to the "too many made" market model, now so infamously successful!

No I am not gonna' go on and on about it but you guys that have never smoked one should be more than a little peeved at the mentally handicapped that run H SA... You might never have the chance now! I am not gonna' bother with a review, I can't even remember it now, but the picture should say a thousand words. You like the Boli PC you say? Meet the older sibling!

What a coincidence that you're posting about these now, Mr. Piggy.

I just had what will probably be my one-and-only Bolivar Lonsdale ('99) last Wednesday.

It was a very impressive smoke. It had some wonderful dried fruit notes coming through what was otherwise a core of strong but smooth toasted tobacco. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks for reminding about this cigar. I just got a box of '99 last week. Curious to see not only how it stacks up to the PC, but to the Inmensa.

We need to get together, buddy!

Maybe share a couple of the 99 Boli CE on the patio and compare.

I think I have a few of these left… I will try and find one to review, while part of my brain says, why bother…

This was just one of my random rants about Tabacuba and the powers that be!

… thanks for unearthing the dead!!! -LOL -R

The uk still has these in regular stock in some places, boxes and singles readily available.

Rather unknown Bolivar. I don't know how I feel about it being compared to the BPC - especially the robust older ones - as the Lonsdale is a very weird Bolivar. For me, it stands apart from the rest of the marca.

Personally, I think the blend filled a void within the Partagas factory's fantastic cervantes/lonsdale lateral. The RA898, Partagas 898V/UV, Lonsdale, PdP, and LGC #2 were similar in philosophy, but the Bolivar Lonsdale was a nice departure in the lateral.
