Hello everyone,

I love natural flame lighters instead of torch lighters.

We know that many of Duponts are fake around.

1) My question is which model is the cheapest ST Dupont lighter

and

2) Can you advise me reliable web sites, where can i buy original Dupont ?

(I've looked ebay, there is many of originals but many of them fake)

Im living in Ireland, was looking at the Vector Tri-Pump Collectible Table Torch - Two Tone Black / Chrome. how long would it take to ship out? and shipping costs?

What is the difference between L2 and Gastby ?

L2 and Gatsby are different size and design lighters. The Line 2 is a larger lighter and holds more fuel. For cigars you may want to consider the dual flame (cigar lighter orifice) if you buy new. Dupont knockoffs are actually pretty easy to see. Their finish is off and they have designs not common or poorly imitated from the original. They also rarely hold the correct amount of fuel. I have a knockoff that would pass to those who don't know Duponts, it was a gift from one who... you guessed it, does not know Duponts. While I am not an expert, I own a few.

If you are looking at something post a pick and I will render an opinion if I can with the caveat that I don't proclaim myself an expert. Like a Rolex they seem to have a core value. If new, if the price is too low it is likely fake. If used or from a collector in need you may find a good deal as a $1000 dollar lighter is not an everyday purchase for most people.

Here are a couple that I own. I prefer the Chinese lacquer lighters as that is what Dupont lighters are all about as far as I am concerned.

Nutty, for you I updated my sig line! Thanks for the complements amigo! I am still pissed at my Punch lighter being stolen; probably being used to light some numbnuts crack pipe now.

I was goin' back out to smoke another stogie for my Herf-day and decided on a Dupont to get my flame. If I have a "daily" Dupont it is my 007. These are knocked off probably the most and you have to watch out for the fakes... they are pretty good! The lighter on the left is my Faux-pont. The finish is subpar, the engraving is tool-marked and the flint mechanism is defective. This size lighter should take "gold" fuel but it won't hold it all.

Beautiful lighters all around. I wish I had the spare coin to buy even one of those beauts, but my cigar wishlist is too damn long right now. I'm 31 now, so I'm planning to definitely treat myself to one for my 35th at the very latest. The Bond and the LCDH ones are my favourites. Excellent collection, Ray. Thanks for sharing!

I am trying to remember where I got mine... It might have been from Chris Wolters. While I can't say positively where Dupont allows their goods to be sold, I am not a dealer, but there is a member here, mentioned above that is, I do believe that these lighters were only offered to LCdH stores. Surprisingly these were not the biggest hit apparently with the Habanos crowd. I fell in love with them on first sight. If you are a Dupont lacquer lighter fan and a Habanos fan they are perfect! I am really kicking myself for not buying two. If I had a dollar for every time I was asked to sell it I would be rich.

I am also kicking myself for not buying the Cohiba Habanera collection lighter! I am more attracted to the lighters with red lacquer and did not go for the bright yellow of the Cohiba, but I am sure they are fetching a bundle now.
