used to. never as well as i wanted to so haven't for a while. if it meant getting to cuba more often, and i am way overdue, i'd practice a bit more.

I think this sucks. I know opinions of the man are varied, but I think he does a good job of including Cuba coverage in CA.

For a person that has been with the magazine since its inception, the statement seems a bit forced. As if there is some other reason he's 'retiring".

Otherwise, he seemed like a pretentious prick, and his writing was pretty poor.

Maybe they will hire Simon Chase and we will finally witness some intelligible, knowledgeable reading in CA regarding Cuban cigars. After seeing JS's review of a Hollywood, CA bought CC I was positive that JS had some confusion over the two CC's locally available (Cuban Cigars or Crack Cocaine). -LOL

THAT, can be a real problem for a Mag that is greatly sponsered by NC's

but also, he may not fit anymore in a "Life Style " Magazine that only has 7% of

cigar related articles, but maybe I'm wrong .

Absolutely the truth.

I for one can't stand any of the CA guys except Jack Bettridge and Suckling. How can you not like Bettridge though, that guys carries himself like a god damn man.

I think Suckling was the only really knowledgeable guy there with cigars. Hope he enjoys retirement.

Either JS suddenly realized that the cA ratings system is tripe and couldn't be a part of it any longer, or Marv got around to seeing the video suggesting that LA bodegas are a legit place to buy Habanos and tossed him out on his ass.
