El Presidente Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Well I head out shortly for the first stage of my travels along with mates Des park, Greg Hutley and Mike Machin. Brisbane-LAX-Miami-Manaus (Brazil) is the first leg. Will be in Manaus Friday the capital of the state of Amazonas. From there the four of us catch a light plane for the 200km flight into the heart of the Amazon and the Agua Boa lodge http://www.aguaboaamazonlodge.com/ where we will be spending a week chasing Peacock Bass on fly. The lodge has wireless internet so I will be posting updates and photo's to the forum every day/every other day. On the following Saturday we venture to Sao Paulo-Panama-Havana where this year we will be staying in a quite excellent penthouse apartment with views over Havana and the ocean complete with private 120 person terrace, inground pool, maid and chef. Oh the parties! Not sure how good the internet will be from the Apartment but will post when I can. So tomorrow I break my three month drinking fast with a bottle of Champagne amongst mates in the Qantas lounge at Brisbane Airport. I look forward to bringing you progressive updates of news, views and general shenanigans of the ultimate lads tour Hasta Luego! Rob
