  1. Great pics. Thanks for the link. Hope to travel there in the near future.
  2. Cohiba Robusto MUR Oct 13 HDM Edición Limitada 2007 Regalos PSD4 from 2011
  3. My second wineador arrived today. Needed the second unit to hold product courtesy of FoH. My wife was so excited when it arrived.
  4. It was like therapy reading this thread. I have no duplicate boxes (yet) and wondered how much stock was average (if there is such a thing). Once I work through the current boxes, I should have a better idea what works for me and stock up.
  5. 1966 for me. Cohiba has been my go to for special occasions and it just seems right.
  6. Really enjoyed your post and I can relate. After a 10 year break from cigars, I bought the same cigar due a recommendation at the b&m. When I got to the final third, I became hot and very dizzy. Went inside and searched google for some answers. This is how I found out cigar forums had so much info. I smoked one a few months later with the advice of a spoonful of sugar and after a heavy meal. Still have 10 of these sticks in a box staring at me when I open my wineador. I think the trauma has me avoiding them. lol Think about that night every time I see that box. Nice to know that I'm not alone.
  7. Hope he can get a refund!
  8. As many have stated: Lump charcoal on the Big Green Egg
  9. Very informative. It's nice to have access to this wisdom and focus on enjoying the smoking experience. It would take me years to see what Rob sees in a couple of months. I'll enjoy the fruits of his labor. Thanks
  10. When I started, I did not have access to aged stock so had nothing to compare. Reached out to a couple of people and was able to acquire some fivers with age. The smoking experience was so good I purchased a wineador to start aging some stock. I bought a couple of aged boxes to smoke. Follow the 24:24 thread to have an idea of what to age and what is smoking well now. Buying aged boxes helped balance my stock.
  11. I agree with the current trend. What comes first is the flavor that I enjoy in a cigar. I would not appreciate something disclosed as cuban that is not. Ultimately, I would purchase what I like.
  12. Started smoking again last year after about a 10 year break. I smoke from 1-6 cigars a week depending on weather and my caseload for the week. Like others have said, the buying, reading and communicating with botl takes up more of my time than smoking. Smoking in the house is not an option for me otherwise I would smoke more.
  13. I have enough for about 3 years with the frequency I currently smoke. That has the potential to double rather quickly being a part of this forum. I would like to have about 5 years worth of stock. Would allow me to have a good rotation that supports aging.
  14. NC: Opus X Angel's Share CC: Partagas D4 Wineador purchase to control temp and it was all downhill from there.
  15. Thanks for sharing. First time seeing something like this. Felt like I was there, the way you explained it.
  16. Enjoy your trip. Can't get much better than family, travel and cigars!
  17. Use both methods. I tend to take my time with higher dollar or favorites. When working in the yard or shop, I quick torch the daily smokers.
  18. Very interesting thread to read. Would never have thought to use a food dehydrator. Curious to see how this works for you over time. I have a desktop humi at 62RH and have a variety of smokes ready to smoke. Only open my wine fridge about once a week. The down side is when I want to smoke something that is in my wine fridge with same RH as OP and I know it may not smoke well. I will give the fridge for 90 minutes method a try and see how it works for me. Good info.
