So, how did it smoke? You aged cigar porn tempter you...

not smoked it yet - humidity is going to hit 85% for the next few days, and I don't smoke indoors so may have to wait a while. Will post the review when I do though.

Is weird though, to think this cigar has probably travelled from Cuba to either Europe or the US, then finally over the course of almost 90 years found it's way out here in Asia. It's a shame it doesn't have an exact date, but regardless so much has happened since it was born. I think I'll do what El Pres suggested and read a bit about the times, refresh my history, perhaps listen to a bit of this guy:

I had a BBF which went from Cuba to Oz (CC) to Russia, then I took it to Belarus, Germany, and finally smoked it in Barcelona.

That cigar was well travelled!

This thread has made me think it would be great to get a box of your favorite cigars from the date of your birth. You could have one on your birthday each year.

How on earth would you go about finding such a box? I'd have no idea where to start!

shouldn't be too hard if you were born in or after the '70s. And you live in London, NYC or HK where there seem to be lots of stock and auctions. And you happen to be richer than a mofo. Thing is, imagine handing over say $3,000 for a box which then proceed to smoke like turds from the devil's own satanic herd - and then having to smoke one every year on your birthday as punishment.

old topic bump, because I couldn't find another thread where you may have reviewed this! have you smoked it yet??

I have always found cigars that old to be very mild and tasteless. Not to mention very fragile. Any cigar pre 1960's i tend to stay away from.

This is a ridiculously good idea, Warren!

Hey Prez, any boxes from 1984 lying around at Czar? :cowpoop:

Count me among those waiting to see how that 1920s PL Smoked......

I am becoming very intrigued by the notion of smoking something from the year in which I was born (1976). At $85 USD I would certainly spring for the Bolivar CE!! Gotta see if I can find something a bit closer to home. Hope the 1920's PLPC's smoked great.

Whether the taste is worth a damn or not, I would just be super excited to just have the opportunity to smoke something that old.

That can be arranged, Sam. I have a pair of underwear that is older than that, I'll box it up and send it your way and you can tell me how they smoked...

Call me old indeed...

I've smoked a couple 75 MC#3s recently that were truly superb, but we're talking another 50 years of ageon the PL in question. Still, if I had the chance and the $$$, I'd have one just for the experience.
