Hands down winner this week in an 80's Dunhill Cabinetta.

Rick gifted me one of these gems a few months back and I have had it stored away in the humidor at 62% RH for 5 weeks.

Visually a lovely Robusto with a deep rich brick brown colour, tea and dried fruits aroma at cold.

Clipped the perfect cap and the draw is impeccable. Very clean tobacco flavours at cold.

Carefully lit the foot of this cigar and straight into stride like a thoroughbred. Medium bodied with a stunning richness of beautiful Vuelta Abajo tobacco interspersed with dried figs. little to no pepper/spice through the nose.

Throught its length the core flavours remained while being joined at different times by milk coffee and roast almonds.

An excellent cigar! Take the finest Upmann meets the finest Montecristo. 97

Prez, is this a new weekly thing you'll be doing. I think it's a great idea if you are.

Member feedback was in the majority for a weekly FOH smoke review. Just the best of what everyone has enjoyed over the past week. We will run Sunday to Sunday :D

Last week I had some cracking smokes.

I bought a box VR Famosos (LPM JUN07) a couple of years back and discovered them at the bottom of my humidor last weekend. I remember when I first tried them they were very rough, way too young, my main memory of smoking them being 'YUCK!'. What a difference a year or so has made though. I smoked 4 of them last week as they were just fantastic - gentle cocoa, very smooth and creamy smoke. Just amazing.

I also chose a Bolivar Gold Medal (URO JUL07) and that was sensational too. Earthy, leathery, powerful but oh so tasty.

It was a great week for me!

I have to say my best of the week were hands down an 05 Upmann Mag 46, I wish I had more of these as they are just such a superb and satisfying smoke I'd smoke em everyday if I could. Just pure, smooth tobacco with a real richness to them, I know the 04's and 05's get bagged as a bad year for Mag 46's but this box has been nothing but spot on since I got em a couple years ago. My other choice would be a Party Corona AGO 05 that I'm smokin right now. Pure Party flavors all the way with a nice light spice through the nose, I have yet to ever have a bad one of these.

I smoked some terrific cigars in the last little while. My wife was away and every night, a rarity for me, I lit up a great cigar.

"01 Cohiba Lancero What a great cigar. This was tied with the '02 BCG for top cigar of the week.

"03 Hoyo DD Glad I grabbed this cab

"04 PLPC These are ready

last night I reacquainted myself with my early 07 Siglo IV's. These are coming along nicely but still nowhere near their potential. I think I will wake them up on their 5 year birthday. I followed it up with another Mar 08 Upmann Connie 1... and another box is on the way. enough said.

Had a great little HDM Le Hoyo Depute yesterday and again this morning with coffee (07).

Sweet cream and toasted tobacco. Just a beautiful 30 minute cigar.

Three days of holiday with the family. The standouts currently are an 07 PL Robusto - nice smoke, likely needs another 2-3 to bring out the most, but nice bright flavors. Kudos to a Padron 80th Maduro. One of the top NC's I can shake a stick at. The winner is (jeez I sound like a broken record) Feb 08 Mag 46. Such a satisfying, hearty, robust smoke.

Only smoke of the week unfortunately! Was sensational. Took notes, will write review when I have time.
