anacostiakat Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Ive seen this on another board....its set up by Camacho cigars....bad add,bad cigars...... Imagine if you were really taken and forced to smoke Camacho cigars.
Ginseng Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Gotta agree. I watched their videos but didn't know it was by Camacho. I've not smoked a Camacho that tasted particularly good. Same with Perdomo, I'm afraid. Or NC Partagas or RyJ. Wilkey
El Presidente Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Interesting concept I had erased Comacho cigars from my memory until this post so you have to give them some Kudos for a great stunt.
ironpeddler Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Could this be their first cigar collaboration since Comacho was acquired by Davidoff?
mkz Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I´ll stick with the cigars that are rolled by angry communists...
zuma Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 They sound like "men"... but watch their first episode, the "tough guy" doing the "re-training"... asks for: coffee DECAF coffee and scones!... I would have though a tough guy would say "Igor, bring us a bottle of methylated spirits... oh... igor, and bring us a stripper too"... well, having tasted 'em in the past, that is what their cigars are... decaf cigars...
sounddust Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I wanna punch his motherhumpin' face, that's what. Failures.

LOL!!!! the Igor part got me.
Ken Gargett Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I must admit - I found these quite entertaining absolutely. there is a degree of taking the piss out of themselves that makes them amusing. but ridiculous nonetheless.
Mr Peales Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I also thought the mini-movie ads were well done, especially compared to the rest of the industry's advertising. Consider the quality of the typical print ad in any of the cigar magazines –they might be some of the worst ads in the western hemisphere. Most of the black and white ads in the yellow pages are better than cigar brand ads.
jledou Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 An interesting concept for getting their name out to a younger generation.
smk819 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Wasn't Camacho a welterweight? I could be wrong but I would rather see Hector fight than smoke one of their cigars.
brutusthebuckeye Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Wasn't Camacho a welterweight? I could be wrong but I would rather see Hector fight than smoke one of their cigars. It's Macho Time Beeach!!!!!!!!!
Guest RobertU Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I'll second that bolded part. As a marketing guy most cigar ads make me cringe, or laugh. Probably not the reactions they're aiming for. Still, this stuff makes me laugh a little as well. But at least someone is trying. They're just not good at what they're trying to do. IceChant Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 You look at that as "Camacho Cigars" but remember Davidoff bought them. I like their Triple Maduro but it doesn't really worth its price.
