lol... I've had 4 of those animals at my place in the last 2 weeks.

2 of them were inside the house.

I have always loved that song , I think it should be our national anthem.

I can just see it now , on the blocks at the Olympics , and now for the Australian anthem.

Come to Australia you might accidentally get killed. ;)

The first time in Oz I was jumping at Toogoolawah and asked about the red back’s, knowing their venom is 15 times that of a rattler. They said, “Oh sure mate they’re in the rafters over the packing area but we don’t usually see them until summer and the amount of venom they can inject is small compared to a snake.” Regardless, the rest of the trip I packed with one eye over my shoulder!

I found it funny that a number of Aussies I talked with said they'd be more afraid of being attacked by a bear if the in US.

What the hell? This explains the smoking and drinking!

redbacks are all over but they are small and would probably kill a young child or old person but otherwise, just a bit sick. my brother-in-law copped one. not happy but was fine.

funnel webs scare the crap out of me but fortunately that is one we don't have around here. the most poisonous spider we have here are the daddy long legs but their mouths so tiny, they are unable to bite a human.

and if the head zookeeper would ever teach me how to load videos, think of the time you'd save.

All that's bull **** there ain't nothing more dangerous than a wife. Think mates a rattler bites you once and is off but a wife comes back over and over till death seems a good option. Am I a little cynical?

Oh hell yes, I feel exactly the same! I'd much rather take what we have here.

We have funnelwebs around our place, but you'll only really see them if you go digging around under rocks, though they are sometimes known to wander inside to escape the heat in the summer. Oh, and sometimes they'll get in your pool and float around in a little air bubble so you have to watch out for that.
