Just would like to understand these codes

You and all the rest of us here ! LOL!!!!!

I used to enjoy recording the Codes against the Factory and searching out a particular factory for a cigar I was looking for (and avoiding factories I did not have the best experiences with) --- but when the powers that be in Habana switched to the quickly revolving code system to prevent guys like me from doing exactly what I was attempting to do - the pursuit of the box codes got to be too much like work and stopped being fun.

As I understand - in Switzerland lives swisses. These guys thinking that in Russia lives only bears :moon:

It's not true! We're likes good cigars (wine, whisky and women of course!!) and understanding what we're smokin' at moment...... What does it mean? Possibly swisses thinkin' that we're idiots?! Probably.......

I would like to remind that Zino was russian too...

Strange situation :P

Best regards to all!

Cigarros,

You also have Danube Taimen trout in Russia!!! I have a friend that runs fishing expeditions to Russia just for these gargantuan trout!!

BTW..I have both these codes on some boxes purchased several years ago,

I have a question that relates to this thread: are the box codes always written in one particular fashion (I understand the different code methods for different periods of time), or is there some differentiation w/ respect to the order of the code and the spacing of any groups of the pair?

I ask because I have a box of Bolivar CEs (none burned yet) w/ a box code written "UN CC DDE". According to Trevor's website, this would be Jan '99 production, but he has it written as "CCUN". The other example in Cigarros' original post is written "UACCDDE". Hence, my question about order of elements of the code and spacing.

Thanks,

Rick

I've found that inconsistency is the only consistency in the manner in which Habana cigars are labelled/coded.....

So, it does appear that the code has been "flipped' - UACC instead of CCUA (I was wondering how common this might be as well).

If that is the case, from what I've seen published, the DDE would designate the Camajuani (sp?) factory, Villa Clara province.

There were also these cigars -

SANCHO PANZA BACHILLERES- UNU CCUE

SANCHO PANZA BACHILLERES- URL E000

Anybody met these codes? It would be desirable to hope that all cigars are real :looking:

NO box codes?

p.s. The darkness towards the top of the bottom of the box is due to using go-be-gone to remove the sticker.

Forget it, geez. I just went on Trevor's site and read where the code is either stamped on the timber or the cardboard outer packaging. Well sure enough went out the garage and there the code was on the bottom of the cardboard box. Its kind of odd how they have the box code and the warranty seal on the cardboard box, but the Habanos Seal is directly on the timber cigar box. Sorry about that, :thumbsdwn:

Oh well you at least get a look at my newly arrived Sir Winnie's.

F-ck the box codes. Those are some damn pretty Sir Winstons you got there.

I was going to tell you to check the bottom of the cardboard outer box for the WInnies

As for the other codes I can tell you they are all familiar in that I have seen them many moons ago.
