Habanos2000 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 OK guys, what do you have lined up as your special smoke this day? Personally, I'll be looking forward to one of the aged Cohiba Siglo VI's that Rob had for sale a while back. I believe those are 2003 vintage, and you?
Spartan Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I've waited long enough......Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios
WYPirate Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I've waited long enough...... I hear ya! I'm smoking that Siglo II you sent tomorrow.
Tampa1257 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Going to smoke my last 01 Cohiba Lancero and depending on the time I might fire up a 03 Partagas Serie du Connaisseur No. 1
yossie Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I smoked Trinidad Robust extra, am smoking Monte esp #2 and will smoke sir winston. But The new year's eve is not so special for Japanese. We will celebrate the new year's day so much.
Dr.G Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Man I'm jealous! I've got to work the night shift! So no cigars for me I'm also jealous you got some of those Siglo VI '03 that are meant to be just divine! Next time I won't be so slow at ordering! Happy New Year Everyone! Cheers, George
Don Candido Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I have a little Don Candido I was gifted by a fellow brother in Vegas last summer at the FOH Gathering. I am sort of thinking it will be the highlight of my NYE lineup. I think it is worth smoking something incredible to celebrate the end of 2008. What a horrible year. The only cool thing to happen this year I can think of was the election. The list of what was wrong this year is too large and depressing to spell out. I am not so sure what is an appropriate smoke for the beginning of 2009. An optimist would go the way of a fine Havana - maybe Cohiba, Partagas or Ramon Allones. I am not currently an optimist. I am guessing the appropriate smoke to begin 2009 will be a Swisher Sweet...
bolivr Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Party 898V that have been quietly sitting in the back for a while
yossie Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I am not currently an optimist. I am guessing the appropriate smoke to begin 2009 will be a Swisher Sweet... I can't beleive You have such a cigar..
bobarian81 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Given away a third of a box, so its time for an 01 Monte A. They smell great, hope it smokes as well.
Don Candido Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I can't beleive You have such a cigar.. Maybe not in the humidor, but they are available at a multitude of stores - 7/11 for instance.
laficion Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I still don't know what cigar I'll be smoking, but It will be excellent. As for everyone out there in FOH-land, I'm sure that all of the cigars smoked tonight will be special simply because they will be smoked by special people like you. Have a great smoke and a great night.
yossie Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Maybe not in the humidor, but they are available at a multitude of stores - 7/11 for instance. I know It's true but still can't beleive that convinience stores sell cigar.. It's hard to get in even tobacco retailers here..
Rogers72 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Going to an oyster roast and taking an HDM2 for an early smoke and probably a SigIV for later. Happy New Year to all. As bad as 2008 has been, I'm not sure 2009 will be any better but there is always hope on New Years Eve!
Colt45 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 With another storm and frigid temps on the way, it's not looking too good. But if I can manage it, I'm thinking H. Upmann Sir Winston from November 2000.
dizedean Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Looking forward to bringing in a much better year with a Boli, Inmensa Wishing a healthy, prosperous and peaceful New Year to everyone in FOH land.
DocRKS Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Last cigar of 2008 will be the Cohiba 35th Anniversary Robusto.. A much better cigar than this less than memorable year 2008 deserves - but at least it will end for me on a good note.. First Cigar of 2009 will be a Dunhill Estupendos.. A very Happy and Blessed 2009 to all here at FOH - May the New Year prove to be the Best we have had so far........
KB24 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Might go with an LGC #1 for 2002 tonight and maybe also throw in an AVO LE 07 or 08 for good measure. Have a safe one tonight people in the states. Unfortunately, with the wife being pregnant there will be no heavy drinking nor stupidity with a large group of friends. She is going through her "sickness at any moment" phase and just wants to stay home. -Patrick
habanohal Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 If I actually leave home I might break open my Trinidad Farmhouse Humidor and try 1 of each
brian1 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 the kids are misearable with colds and my wife is stressed out about, well....Everything!...I will not be pushing my luck with a cigar tonight!! Happy New Year Everyone.
Habanos2000 Posted December 31, 2008 Author Posted December 31, 2008 If I actually leave home I might break open my Trinidad Farmhouse Humidor and try 1 of each You better make a photo review if you do!
Professor Twain Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I just finished off a 2003 Hoyo Piramide EL that I got in a swap from a member of the Board. It is my first one. Great cigar! Sweet Hoyo taste and the EL wrapper did not overwhelm the taste, just added a bit of firmness and mocha to the sweet light fruit.
perfectform Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Nice one Professor Twain! That is my favorite cigar...Tonight I will be having a Partagas Lusitania to ring in the (thank god) new year...
Guest rob Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 New Years Eve saw me enjoy a Magnum 50. Great smoke but not as good as the previous I have had have been. Seems like it may be closing down just a touch. New Years Day will be a Cohiba Sublime or Double Corona. Maybe both if I'm feeling frisky.
