Cohiba007 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Cohiba Sublime. Suckers sure are delicious. Huge though
chrisguinther Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 I spent most of the day traveling so no cigar yesterday. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 70's so I'm thinking a Montecristo Especial or VR Don Alejandro.
Spartan Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Upmann Mag 50 and a Starbucks Black Eye made the long ride back home quite enjoyable.
Mike 331 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 '01 Monte A and a 60's T.B. Carling "K" Pirimade. The "A" was great, and the Carling was just sublime, one of the best vintage smokes I've had.
bjohnson65 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Bolivar NO 2(Tubo), from my sample pack from CCzar .. MUY BUENO ! PSD4 .. after dinner .. FANTISIMO !!
GP012 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I wanted to smoke an 03 Sir Winston with a bottle of Mumm Napa Rose on Christmas Day, but I was sick as a dog. I did manage to get a 97 Punch Ninfa in on Christmas Eve however.
perfectform Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I hope eveyone had a great Christmas! I enjoyed a Diplomaticos No. 5 in the morning, then after a fabulous holiday dinner, a Partagas 898V...
Van55 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I smoked a Bolivar Inmensa. Fantastic cigar. What a shame it has been discontinued or will be per HSA.
PDC1 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 For the first time in several years, we'd had Chrissie lunch somewhere other than my house. 'twas a great relief to my wife not having to do all the cooking for a change. We had arranged an informal barbie back at ours later in the evening for friends, my family and my niece, who i'd not seen in over twenty years! Enjoyed a fabulous PLBE back at my place after lunch, before the fireworks (literally) and the masses lobbed. After copious amounts of beer, wine and whisky, i started handing out some Punch PC's which, went down a treat and....made for great sky rocket lighters!(see photo) A great day and, a spectacular evening.
habanablue Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Mixed it up. A Hoyo Du Prince from 07 and an Ashton VSG Torpedo. Now gotta decide what to smoke for NYE!
cabaiguan juan Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Had a Tatuaje Reserva J21. Pretty strong, but good. Definatly a change of pace from the usual Brown lable.
Habanos2000 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Bolivar Royal Corona, from Dec 07. Still a bit young but a nice strong smoke through and through.
mkz Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Me and wife organised our familys christmas-dinner at our house, and since smokingtime was short during the day and evening, I had to rely on my Partagas Panetelas 99:ers. Great smokes for almost no cost! Later in the evening I shared a Monte:4 with my sister-in-law.
laficion Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Great wine and cigar. NOT MORE TO SAY CHEERS !!
Ken Gargett Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Great wine and cigar.NOT MORE TO SAY CHEERS !! terrific wine and fantastic cigar. what vintage cote rotie? i'm no great fan of mixing cigars and red wine but would love them both, as a match or individually.
Ken Gargett Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 in the end, i got sidetracked and didn't get to have a cigar for a couple of days but found a cohiba esplendido that jose (part of a box - i thought i had put all the remaining ones away in deep storage but missed one - rob had been plundering them) had very kindly given me a few years ago. absolutely stunning smoke. will do a separate review.
laficion Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 terrific wine and fantastic cigar. what vintage cote rotie?i'm no great fan of mixing cigars and red wine but would love them both, as a match or individually. Hey Ken, The Cote-Rotie was for the meal my wife cooked up last night which was fantastic, Roasted beef with gouse of garlic inside with a sauce and with cut parts of truffle . Then salade with Rouqfort cheese, nuts and olive oil. The cigar came after the Tarte. The Monty was out of this world, even young it was great. the Cote-Rotie was 2001 vintage and went down like silk, bold and beautiful. Happy New Year to all
