El Presidente Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 OK this is our first effort for a video review. We will get better
Huckins Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 That was a great video review!! Lisa should have put in a cameo at least!
dragon Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Very good idea Rob and a nice video tasting review!........well, except for the part where Kens feet are dead smack in the middle of the picture, LOLOL.
Guest rob Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Great first effort Mates. One of those tough jobs that needs people with fortitude to accomplish. I love this dialogue: Pres: It's very un-Cuaba like. Ken: God yeah... it's actually nice. Gotta get Smithy involved in the next ones though... his "humour" will be priceless. Keep it up!
yossie Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 A great example for English learners. What's the most suprising me was What Smithy's pronounciation was the most understandable. I hope you will do it over and over! without Rob (His English is difficult for me...) By the way, Why Al was there? I've yet to receive the e-mail from Lisa that She shipped the humidor..
Vetteman Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Great idea, enjoyed it!! BTW...what language was it in?
Fuzz Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Great vid review guys, keep up the good work! How about some close ups next time?
Sandman Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I really enjoyed that review. Keep them coming. Good stuff!
anacostiakat Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Good idea! I enjoyed watching that. Thanks!
mongboy Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Nice work fellas ! Looking forward to the next review.
Don Candido Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I loved it! Still there was something wrong with Rob's accent. Was he speaking English? where was Lisa? The whole idea was brilliant. Why was Ken there? :-) Next time, pick a good smoke!!! I am not so sure about the Cuaba Piramide yet.... I did love the fact that Smithy and Al were there. But Ken???? (I love you Ken; you are simply the easiest to pick on in this example.) Cheers, DC
marlow Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Very nice, guys! Very nice! Hopefully ya'll will do reviews of some of the more mundane cigars vs the new stuff. I'll give 10 for style but only 7.5 for your attempt to speak to the American members - crickey
Guest robustog Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Excellent! I love the review. Keep these coming!!!
Mike 331 Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Great stuff! Good job moderating Rob, but we could use a little bit of banter b/w you and Ken
Mr. Japan Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Congrats is not enough , these videos will be history . Rob you are really doing good and I like you're mates, even if I believed that Ken should have a more feminine voice ..with all these stories that I read around here . And please dress up more appropriate, where that nice shirt you had in Nice? Video's go around the world
Spartan Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 sez the vid is no longer availible! Ok now I got it I really like the "panel of experts" as opposed to the "one on one" format which is most common with cigar reviews. great stuff fellas keep em coming!
perfectform Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Well done gentlemen, we'll look forward to the next ones...
purosdave Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Well done gentlemen, we'll look forward to the next ones... Very nicely done! I couldn't understand half of what you were saying, but I got the gist of it. Look forward to more of these in the future.
Van55 Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I thought I posted a reply to this this morning in which I contrasted this video review with those of Savona and Suckling at Cigar Aficionado. But perhaps the specific contrast that I drew was inappropriate and my post was deleted. Suffice it to say that I enjoyed this review, and its thorough masculinity. The audio could have been a bit better, the voices occasionly being distorted or drowned out by the prevailing breeze. Excellent, overall, though. I look forward to more such endeavors.
aavkk Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Great to meet you guys! I would love to see a weekly video review and its a great excuse to round everyone up and spend another 90 minutes on the deck.
Claudius Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Very cool, Rob! MORE!!! And yes, the audio was occasionally distorted by a breeze... better smoke inside next time.
