bassman Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 I've been very disappointed with these, with poor draws & little flavor. Haven't had one in over a year. Might be time to revisit them.

Don't forget, that it ER for Germany! Habanos S.A. made for each country cigars with traditional national taste. In it idea of this edition.:-D

habanohal Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 I bought 4 boxes when they were released. Smoked 1st box and no plugs or issues.Half way threough my 2nd box and they are even more tasty that the 1st. GOing to say that the flavor has surpassed the PC.
Tampa1257 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Just my humble opinion, but I purchased several boxes of the first release as well as a few singles. The full boxes are sleeping and will continue to do so for 3-7 more years. The singles even at a ripe young age showed so much pure prtential that these PL Londales will develop to be a Classical Cigar when they hit 5-7 years on them. The youth of the PL Lonsdale displayed Premium Cuban tobacco that was extremely well blended, and I have not encountered any construction problems at all. I will just have to disagree with those that do not like them or have negitive issues as in my experience this just was not the case. While they are tasty now, waiting for another 3-5 years will IMHO deliver such a profound quality and classical Habanos flavor, taste and complexity as the PL Lonsdales mature.
Wiley Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I enjoy your reviews of cigars I may not see otherwise. Please keep them coming!

Good review of these. I agree with Tampa on these. I did something similar and I believe these are a conniseures' cigar.
greenpimp Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I have a couple of boxes of these I bought when they first came out, and actually just smoked my first one last week. Mine are packed with tobacco, slightly tight, but I agree with Tampa, very well blended. The middle of the cigar, when it opened up, was verging on spectacular. A great density of flavor. I'm gonna sit on the rest for some time, though they are wonderful now. They are going to be classics, IMO.
Claudius Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I agree, very good cigars! Fantastic, rich, flavorful, intense... I got 6 boxes and smoked 1 and a half boxes. A few were soapy, unfortunately. Bad luck...
cigarros Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Leaves impression of well balanced, soft and volumetric cigar. It more likely the gastronomic cigar demanding of support, for example, of beer, especially cherry and ginger and not necessarily German.Average fortress, it is moderately aggressive, but thus pleasantly invigorating. Pertinently to smoke within day, before a supper. Demands steadfast attention to own person.Burning thus remains cool and equal on all extent. Something unusual in it definitely is. For example, constantly varying taste - from sweet-bitter to spicy.Optimum term of endurance 3-4 years. It is a pity, however, that release of this vitolas rather limited and to get it was possible far not to all interested persons even in the Germany. As a whole is an interesting cigar with soft and caramel character. Structure of ashes: dense Color of ashes: light grey with dark proveins Draft: slightly inconvenient Shades of aroma: wood, coffee, creamy, animal, mushroom Shades of taste: sweet, with easy spicy shades
